To all you ADC mains

A clicking has flaws which made several pro players, including doublelift, to stop using it.

The command attacks the nearest target, in high elo however, when people realize you use A-Move they will simply but a ward in between you two so you hit the ward once or twice wich can be crucial in a fight.

Also using the A command when runnign in a brush to insta auto the enemy can be countered this way.

This works not only with wards but anythign spawn/attackable . Like heimer turrets, zyra plants etc.

Summary: dont use A-Move, keep with clicking and improve your mechanics

 

Attack moving is impossible when going against elise, you'll just attack the spiderlings. There are times for both A move and right clicking just like there are times for smart casting and normal spell casting.

I use A click to kite, also A-click is awsome to enter bush and immediately will autoattack anything that is inside.
How many time did someone kite you steping in/out bushes? just A-click into it and your char will automaticly auto him

 

I use 'Attack only click' or whatever that is on my A key.

 

I disagree with your conclusion as a player in a similar ELO to that of Doublelift & Co. A-click can still be extremely useful - you just have to have the awareness to know if the other team has a counter mechanic available.

I agree with atlbraves about A-clicking (although I never smart cast ):

 

This is a joke. Who cares about doublelift and several pro players. People has their own playstyle and people just get used to it. This is like comparing smartcast to no smartcast, no point putting professional players involve. It's all about personal playstyle and choice.

 

If you are A-clicking someone with a sighstone, yeah maybe you shouldn't. Or if it's heimer/zyra/malz/shaco/elise/anyone with a deployable, yeah maybe you shouldn't.

For 90% of those people you are attacking, A-clicking is still better.

 

Why not just use the option I talked about, A attack only move, in which case you keep your mouse over the target and press A, and if you missclick you won't walk back? What are the flaws of this?

 

I usually right-click because I just can't handle attack-click targeting other people and minions. However, I do have attack-move-click bound to shift right-click for when I need it.

 

you use a-move when you're in lane cs'ing and you right-click when trading and teamfighting
