Well, there is a big potential for Cryptocurrencies taking over as atleast the "Internet Money" like Paypal, Skrill or so, and more probable is that Crypto's are taking over fiat currencies..

    My point is this:

Fiat money system is not that bad, Central banks and Goverments can do amazing stuff if the power they have is used with widsom, also in the proper hands, good times can go on for a long time, but there is a systematic risk in most of countries, and its called elections, and no, im no anti-democratic, it's about how the power is distributed over the people in lets say most of countries, and absolutely probabilities and maths, for instance: if we concide so much power to a group of persons it will be matter of time that atleast one of those persons will be corrupted and systematic put in risk the whole Economics of a Country putting theyr society under misery, for example: Maduro and Venezuela.

So how it will affect the Cryptos?
Well, when goverments are in economics troubles they're very likely to make an inflation bubble, since they must print money for paying the national debt. When you're having fiat sitting in your bank account for a long time you're paying the national debt for nothing, and its losing value everyday. IMO People will eventually adopt cryptocurrencies since the lack of trust in our Leaders, and the potential of this technology will lead to a new kind of society.

The point of most cryptocurrencies is decentralization, and moving away from government and bank controlled currency. So in an ideal scenario, yes we will move away from fiat currency. How it effects government is honestly a good question, I had never considered the relation of crypto to say the Federal Reserve in the U.S.
