[Approved] Time for allow commission staking

Ladies and gentleman.
Due to the new circumstances around market/game this should be discussed and not closed due to the importance of the future of the market
Over the last days Jagex as changed duel arena and the market forever thanks to the new staking cap.
Due to this , Sythe needs to adapt with the new changes and allow commission staking. Take in mind that dicing is allowed here , so i don’t see any problem of why don’t legalize comm staking..
This is something that has been asked over the years in Sythe and always rejected , but I think is time to make new changes around the website this is not 2017 or 2019 is 2021.
I hope to listen opinions of this and reach an agreement with the staff to allow this.

what is the point to change rules now when arena cap was added? Its not like anyone will waste time hosting 10m duels on 5% commish or w/e.

Since I didn’t add it to the main post.
Middleman staking helps to ignore the staking cap(logical) , of course with this suggestion accepted , new rules should be applied to it related to the security and confirmation of a stake being done and paid.
It could be also useful for the economy that currently is going down with an historical 0.4~$ , mm of stakes should make the movement of gold a little higher but not the same as before.

It'll take some brainstorming by staff in terms of what implementation would look like.. but I agree with ABM. Support for at least strongly considering making some changes.

If we don't do this, the whole industry will go bankrupt and so will this site. We love Sythe why don't we support each other and come up with new ideas. J.gex change duel-arena so are we going to sit and cry?

Like the points made above, it would bring more GP flow, people could stake above the 10m 07 / 50m rs3 max with the Middleman or just by trading to the trusted member first, as long as rules are being properly followed and the ToS are clear. It would also bring more potential activity on Sythe and consistent money flow through Banners, etc.

One small issue: if, say it gets approved, what happens if Duel arena gets permanently removed in the future? The commission staking would slowly die out along with it, I think. Although there are alternatives like the Combat Ring in a Player-owned House, Wilderness, etc. or even the right-click Duel option on RS3 (Which can be done anywhere), I'm not sure it would be as active as Duel Arena.

Edit: I would also like to see a place to advertise for X'ing stakes. Similar to taking commissions on dicing, but on staking ingame.

 

Easy solution to trust is just to allow hosts to only take bets up to their donor rank i.e, if you're $100 donor and gp is @ 50c/m, 200m is your max stake etc. etc.

At the same time, Sythe would insure bettors against any scam attempts due to receiving the user deposit of their donor rank.
