Am i the only one bothered by this?

I know i'm semi new to these forums but don't look at my post count. I'm more active on these forums than most mods are. I just don't post. But onto why i made this topic.

I'm looking to buy a transferring guide and thus spend a lot of time in the guide forums. I notice how there are MANY MANY MANY threads that have "I'm scam" written all over it, yet we can't do anything without proof. So my question really is, why must we wait for proof? Getting proof would mean someone would have to buy the "guide" and never actually receive the guide and waste their money. I know in the counter argument, people will say "well what if it really is a legit guide?" Yes you're right. What if it really is a legit guide. BUT what are the chances? Yesterday, this noob made 4 threads of him selling 20m, then finally 150m/hr xfer guides. Now lets use some common sense. What are the chances that those guides really do work? He was banned and got what he deserved, but someone had to lose their money to satisfy the so called "no pic no proof" bullshit. Why can't we just live by

"If it's too good to be true, then it probably is"?

and yes half the postcounts that i have have came from spamming the noobs. Most of them did report me so [sarcasm]I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO AUGUST WHEN MODS TAKE CARE OF SPAM REPORTS [/sarcasm]. But don't really care though, nothing pisses me off more than phonies.

If we went around banning everyone that was accused of scamming, there'd be too many people banned wrongly.

Also, a lot of the mods are very active. You don't even see a lot of the work we do.

 

Hmmm I think this place is more ban-happy than not.


Honestly, I know exactly what you're talking about. You know what I do? If they're bothering me, I'll google their msn and find out they are probably ban evading, and then just report them.

Other than that, you have to let the weak follow into the traps, and be strong and not get scammed yourself. There are plenty of resources to avoid it.

 

Not only that, but some users might accuse people of scamming for other reasons, such as revenge, competition, etc...

If something seems too good to be true, then take the appropriate precautions. If it's a guide, wait for it to be verified, if it's a trade, use a trusted/official MM, etc...

 

Thing is OMM's won't do a trade for a pin, unless they are paid. Most Trustd/OMMs require funds, and not everybody has that extra $20 to pay them. It just doesn't seem right. :S

 

Use a free one that's trusted then?

 

There honestly is plenty of people you can trust with $5 to MM the trade for free.

I know, OMM's won't do a PIN mM because it's a complete waste of time for them. Why WOULD they do it? Just to be yelled at and deal with 2 idiots spitting at each other?

I honestly can't stand MMing. I want to break both of them in the face with a club and inform them that i'm calling the shots, and to stfu.

THAT is why OMM's dont' want to MM for free.

 

Then do the next best thing; a free but highly trusted MM that needs a few trades to finish his OMM app () or trade with users who have run their business for a long time and have a lot of positive feedback and no scammer reports. You can't expect us to control everything that happens in the market; learn to look out for yourselves.

 

A member is innocent until proven guilty. I hope the staff aren't going to go on a rampage and ban every member that they THINK is scamming.

You aren't more active then a mod since you joined 10 days ago but if you say so ok then. But you have to realise that mods do things online and offline to improve the site. And if we started to use this method of banning then why can't I say that you scammed me and then you would be banned.
