Praise the skilled

You know, I was sitting here thinking and i'm sure I'm not the ONLY one on this forum that is currently going to college for something online. I'm currently attending Stevens-Henager college for " Applied science in graphical arts " which is costing me a fortune.....

But heres the thing, I think it would be awesome if a member could prove themselves to an administrator that they have graduated for Web / Graphic / Software design.

If the administrator approves it then that somebody should get a rank like " Degree in _____ " with maybe a little scroll next to it?

This would give people a good idea who to go to and who should earn the most consumers since they have put hard work into college.

For an example, if I were looking to get a nice website made i'd look for somebody with the rank of " Degree in Web Design " and ask him / her to build me a website. I guess it would also make sythe look like they have some real intelligent people since sometimes when newbies come in it's kind of funny.

I mean im just suggesting this, criticize it / change it / suggest ideas about it or different approaches.

If sythe had a good amount of people with degree ranks, it would be pretty awesome. I believe degree ranks should only be given for online things though, if you got a degree for nursing that isn't going to apply to online or anything that sythe is going to need lol.

Right i totally understand, and I had no idea that it was suggested before although I think it would be a great thing to implement into sythe... well another great rank idea to add to the database..

But like you said some would like it and others wouldn't but I think those who work hard for it deserve it and those who don't well then they shouldn't like it and if they wan't one there are plenty of government plans to go to college this would not only encourage people to get degrees but inspire people to register their skills with sythe.

 

It would imply a false sense of trust and could lead to people being scammed. Also I believe suggesting ranks is on the do not suggest list.

 

You would have to prove with legal documents to an admin that you graduated, and show a picture of your degree with you holding it, something like that and if it is well i'm sorry, it's just such a good idea I couldn't let it sit in my head.

I believe that if somebody abuses it then they shall be banned, without question and those who don't abuse it will be looked up to and trusted as a skilled member that has earned his / her rank completely.

 

It's not people faking it that would be the problem, giving someone a rank gives them some trust in a lot of peoples eyes especially new comers which could lead to scams. Also I don't think it deserves a rank at least not on this site. Not to take away from what your doing it's great and all I just don't believe it should be rewarded with a rank here on sythe.

Edit: Also if people where to get a rank for this people would start requesting ranks for all kinds of stuff.
