Thoughts on the AWP changes?

The new update made it so that you move much slower when scoped in on the AWP and auto-snipers.

What do you think about these changes?

I personally hate them, now it's near impossible to a kill on someone who knows where you are without getting lucky. You either have to zoom in and slowly move out giving them the advantage of seeing you first, or you can move out, scope, and have a small chance of hitting your target

 

I think it's fine, I don't use the AWP that often anyway.

 

It will take some getting use to for sure, but in the end everything wi balance out anyways.

 

It's not TOO bad, could be worse.

 

I couldn't really abuse it, I doubt a lot of others could either, but here's an example of why it got nerfed



It's worse, I felt the change, but not as much as those kinds of players. When running, some players like JW had perfect control of the crosshair. There's been games where pros have peeked with an AWP crouching and walking sideways, it still is possible to peek, but it's just harder to execute and easier for the enemy to catch you if you aren't fast enough.

I think it got nerfed too much though, you move way too slow now. I'd have been happy if it was changed to somewhere between the middle of now's speed and its previous speed.

 

I definitely agree that it needed a nerf, but it is way too slow now. They went to hard with the nerf hammer.

I personally prefer using the ssg now

 

I feel like they went a little overboard on the awp changes, but then again I hardly use the awp, but I am using the ssg more often now but the tec9 is still op in my opinion

 

Now you have to be a little more accurate with the Tec9, but 24 bullets is still a lot considering that the mp9 only has 30

 

Just tested out the new AWP, and I'm disgusted. I'm also pissed off the stattrak swap bullshit caused my Stat Orion to plummet from $250 to $50.

Overall that entire update was a fucking joke.

 

I agree with you n4n0, update seems a bit stupid, with complete disregard for the players market values just so they can make a little extra like in your case.


Though I can understand the tec-9 changes

 

Out of all the shit they changed I feel like the only things they didn't fuck up are:

Removing Sky Boxes
Tec-9
Removing Nuke

Other than that, everything was a mistake.

 

I agree with the tec-9 changes, and have no quarrel with that. It's the AWP changes and the StatTrak Swap Tool that I'm irate about.

 

I am not really satisfied with the update. Overall the OP has changed a lot and I am much more easier to target ;(

 

Not a fan of the awp change. When i saw it i thought i wouldn't mind but i really notice it and it irritates me.

 

Reading it didn't seem to bad, but when you play it...It's way too much

AWPing was far too easy, they had to do something.

 

I 100% agree with that, I just think that they nerfed it a little too hard

 

I don't understand the point of the stattrak tool, I mean I do get it, but it just ruins the actual validity of the amount of kills with that gun.


Now you could hypothetically have a stattrak Factory new awp asiimov with 5000 kills lol.
