    It is now possible to swear in runescape; there is now a thing called "filter" which can be turned on / off.

    Awesome :)
    It's not much but it's nice not to have to worry about the stupid filter when you're typing things that aren't even swear words and it blocks them.. :/

    I think this 'whitelist' of URL's you're able to say will become pretty controversial.

    i guess you cant get banned or black marks for people reporting you for bad language ?

    because im sure there will be one special person who turns filter off and see someone swears and reports them lol

    As someone who is over the age considered to be an adult (19), I can say the filter was definitely irksome. I am old enough to vote, but not use a 4-letter word on a game? So far though, all I've seen is kids running around spam cursing just because they can. Hopefully the novelty will wear off fast.

    The whole update may just be a way for jagex to make advertising money from websites paying to be on the whitelist. Who knows
