    Thoughts on College/University?

How many of active users on Sythe currently attend/have attended college?

Thoughts in general? Do you think its a necessity?

I for one am graduating this year with a STEM degree, but I don't think college is necessary to make a good living in the trades.

    Thoughts on College/University?

    Currently a 2nd-year Interaction Designer, 2020 I graduate.

Throughout my degree so far the number of connections, lecturers, conferences, and the learning that occurred is significant.

In this day and age, getting a degree increases your chances of getting a good starting job if you work hard through your degree.

So yes I believe it is an absolute necessity. My CV is growing, my experience is growing, and the $ I charge for freelance work is going up. I've grown a lot.

    Thoughts on College/University?

I used to think college was pointless seeing how I have a hard work ethic. But I’ve come to realize just like other people school is turning into a requirement in order to make good money unless you figure out money methods elsewhere. Currently going to college to become an electrician. Wish I would’ve went right after high school but hey young and dimb:)

    Thoughts on College/University?

Finished my 4th year of Uni right now, like the ones above mentioned- everyone has a bachelor or higher, if you don’t why should anyone hire you? Sure, a lot of what you learn in Uni is worthless and you’ll forget a lot of it, but you’re atleast giving them reasons to hire you.

A degree shows that you are:
    - Hard working
    - Structured
    - Ambitions
I can go on forever but you get the point.

You a stupid if you don't go to college. You will regret not going to college when you're already stuck in the robot society.
Going to college means you learn more, learning more = getting more intellectual = higher chance of success.
Definitely go to college man, you'll miss out on alot of parties and fuckery here and there if you don't go to college. Don't let the society suck you in already when you're young. This is the prime time of your life, don't ruin it!

    Thoughts on College/University?

I know alot of people who live wealthy and happy without college. I know alot of of people who have gone and didn’t end up doing what they want to do and owe alot of money.

But I also know people who have gone to college and UNI and work right away in field they desire.

seems like a waste of money and quite frankly time, unless you absolutely need a specific degree.

It costs $ (a degree) to work for somebody else. Yet it costs nothing to work for yourself and become your own boss.

Really? It costs nothing to work for yourself? Lol.

It costs money to establish any form of business, be it an LLC or Corporation etc.

It costs money to get into any business (equipment, website, advertisement, etc.) no matter what area you want to be in.

Ok but that's less money compared to the guy who owes $50k in college debt trying to also start and fund his own buisiness. I don't think he really needed the $50k degree to start/run his buisiness.
