Legacy

Hi, I haven't played scape in a few years but I do occasionally browse various forums.

Apparently this new legacy mode will be a mix of the EOC and pre-EOC? Now by this, do any of you know if it's more the former than the latter? If so, do you think OSRS will slowly die as people move back to this new legacy mode? Just wondering if I should just buy EOC gp instead of old school if everyones going to switch over.

This is just what I thought considering that most people moved to old school because of EOC's terrible combat system.

 

Legacy is still a long ways from now. I predict that this Legacy update won't be what they thought it was. 07 won't die however. But at this point, nothing's going to save the main servers.

 

The thing that bother's me the most is they're going back with their word, they said they would never go back to the old combat system, and they're doing it now, of course now they can't just get rid of eoc and replace it, and they're doing it because they don't want to lose more players, which i understand of course, in my point of view there is one thing that was needed, instead of old school, runescape from the year 2010 was the best in my opinion, and many people were waiting for it, that's my personal opinion

 

i know a lot of people wanted 07 back which i understand is how the wilderness was before free trade and it were taken out... but i agree, right before eoc came out was perfect. wild was open, trade was open, bots were working, and the new additions (turm, etc) were great. its a shame the game we grew up with is slowly dying

 

i agree with you, before the eoc everything was perfect, even with the bots, it's kinda sad that your childhood game is dying, but now is too late, they can't simply end the eoc and bring back the old system, it's not that they can't, at this moment is rather to late for them to do that.
