I sold 40M to him, now he is disputing.

I made sure he left the note "This is a payment for virtual goods I have already received, I will not dispute or claim charge back"

Same thing happened to me, for $88.
best thing you could do is provide logical proof that his paypal account was not hacked, and pray that you win the dispute.

you should never accept paypal from people without vouches..

Sorry to be the one to tell you this but there is no way you are winning that case. Take it on the chin, re-fund your paypal account and learn from your mistakes. ONLY accept paypal from people you feel you can trust or at least have been here a reasonable amount of time and have some vouches.

    Ok man

Would it be safe if next time I tell them to file a dispute then cancel before I give them the gold? So they can't open another dispute?

I believe Paypal changed their policies recently which allowed people to open another dispute after closing it, meaning that the 'claim and cancel' method is sort of out the window.

Stick to selling to trusted, I sell mils all the time and I have never had a chargeback, I deny selling to anyone who does not have atleast 10 vouches and has been a member here for 2-3 months. Stick to strict policies and you'll be fine, the gold still sells like hotcakes at $0.95 per mil.

I would make one just to read that post. It will save you from getting scammed again and you can be 100% sure next time that the payment can't be charged back before handing over the cash.

Payments can always be charged back. Even when sending as a gift, payment owed, with a note, claim and cancel. All it takes is a phone-call to paypal claiming your account was hacked and you're probably screwed. Just stick to selling to trusted members.

I stopped using paypal all together. I'd suggest using mail or WU only. It's worth the wait.

I also had the same problem this week, some bastards have took the gold and claimed there account has been hacked.
A total of $400 payments are held in my PP, resulting in my Runescape character skint :'(

Not only that, but this morning i got an E-mail from PP saying your account has been limited.

Somebody ^^ said take it on the chin & move on, That is the best advice.
Never use PP again unless they have tons of vouchers or mod.

Switched to Player auctions <--- Best thing i ever did
No charge backs, and if they try to scam you PA will take full legal action against them.

This. I've stopped using Paypal entirely, and only use Player Auctions now.

The 10% fee is a small price to pay. Think about it this way, would you rather get 10% less or 100% less?
