* Help * I was hacked and asshole changed my name.

Alright so my account on runescape was hacked a minute ago and since staking and wildy are coming back i want to play again but i have a problem.....

The person who had access to my account changed my username, i still use the same username to log in but the in game name is changed.

My original username was unique and rare with spaces, perfect for staking it made it hard for other players to look me up.

Q. Is there any possible way for me to go back to my original name?

 

Go to homepage > help > customer support > billing > Submit a billing query.

Even though it's the wrong place to contact them, they will e-mail you back. Just say you couldn't find another way to contact them. They might make you change name instantly, meaning your old name can be stolen if you don't change it fast.. Hard to explain.

Edit: Or you can wait 28 days to change it back.

 

There is topic on official forums exactly for this , but im afraid that they will say you have to pick new one because multispaces :/

 

You won't be able to get the multi-spaced name back. Sorry man, that sucks.

Think of it like this: if you're hacked and the hacker drops/trades/loses your items, you don't get them back even though it wasn't you. They don't have the means of reverting back to a multi-spaced name. They're outdated entirely. Who did this to you?

 

They won't change it back (especially a multi spaced name). Sorry :/ What was the name tho? If you don't mind sharing.

There's a thread but you'll be demanded to change it to another anyways because of the multi-spaced name changes. >.<

 

Aww that happened to me to mine was M---E--R-K-U but some kid changed it to 'robiscool2' or some shit like that and it's fucking annoying cos Fagex won't let me have my double spaces back

Nope, you can't. They are completed disabled from creation and modification.

You can always try to contact them and see if they can work something out with you, otherwise no you can't get multi spaced names anymore.
