Dipping/Chewing

Does anyone on here dip? I'm dipping stokers right now.

If you don't dip, what are your thoughts on dipping/chewing?

 

I don't dip but I have been around it my whole life and especially when I was on the football team in college. I've grown used to it but I know there are plenty of people that despise it.

For example, a lot of girls hate it. They refuse to kiss their boyfriends if they choose to dip. So it's pretty much your opinion.

 

i might dip if it wasnt so gat damn expensive outchea in canada.... shits like $15+ for a tin

I personally would never dip. I think it's disgusting. I don't have anything against people that dip though. I'd much rather someone dip around me than smoke.

Tried dip a couple weeks ago from an impulse buy from walmart at 2 am, took the smallest pinch ever and puked my brains out lol. Not a fan of any tobacco.

It's a nasty habit, but I'd take it over smoking if it wasn't so expensive.

I dipped through school as smoking really isn't an option for me. I've since laid off as it is a very expensive habit. A tin of skoal around here is right around 20$ and it doesn't last that long.

I've dipped Skoal, Grizzly, Klondike, and Kodiak.

Tastes good though.

 

What the fuck is dipping? I'm assuming it's tobacco related..

We don't have that in the UK (as far as I'm aware!)

You might know it as snus/snuff.



It's tobacco that is flavored and you would typically put it in your lip. Alternatives would be like chewing tobacco where you actually chew on the tobacco.

 

Ohhhh yeah - snuff! Sorry, this just doesn't seem much like "dipping" ... more... "placing-inbetween-lips-and-teeth" ;P

 

It just smells extremely disgusting and you get mouth cancer from it.. need i say more?

 

What's the point? I'm missing it.

People start this shit 'cause they think it's cool or makes them hardcore. It's pointless and stupid and gives zero benefit. IMO.

 

the same can be said about smoking, drinking, etc

it gives a crazy awesome (imo) head rush, that's really it

everything in moderation. a lot of old smokers turn to dip as a temporary replacement for cigarettes to give their lungs a break, but then some people i know also just love the feeling of having a dip in.

 

Nasty, nasty habit. I've been peer pressured a couple of times into trying it. But yuck, no thank you... I was able to easily refuse.

I don't look down on people for dipping, but I never would do it myself. Just seems gross.

 

Gonna have to agree with this fine gentleman right here. Looks and smells disgusting, not to mention constantly spitting out nasty ass black tobacco juice every 15 seconds, it probably makes your breath smell like corroded chimp asshole.

I've also seen people dip/chew for the very first time and they seriously turn green and get sick for like a solid 45 minutes. In what way is that enjoyable? I'm sorry, I just do not get it.

 

For one it gives you a full body buzz.


Secondly, it's nice to just have one to chill with you and your friends


I admit it was gross the first few times, I also use it as an alternative to cigarettes.

It's $26 a can here.

 

Absolutely ridiculous... A pack of cigarettes would last me 10x longer if I did smoke.

 

Cigarettes I understand, especially in the "have one just to chill with your friends" regard. But $26 for a can of stinky mulch isn't worth a body buzz, in my opinion. I'd rather buy an eighth of the good stuff.
