There should be a way to report HIGHLY offensive posts and have it taken care of ASAP

For instance, I recently ran across a post with a massive amount of pornographic images and links, and nearly puked when I saw what it was. I reported it about 20 minutes ago and sent a message to a mod about it about 15 minutes ago. Still there. There needs to be a better system in place to stop this kind of thing. Agree? or am I being an idiot?

EDIT: I was seeing if got deleted and noticed it had an edit button at the bottom. It was most definitely not my post, but it allowed me to delete it. What?

 

You've been here since April '07 and only have 40 posts? Anyways, say if 10 people report a certain post, it should get locked/deleted. Thing is, if people start reporting random posts just for the hell of it, they should get warned/infracted. It would cut down on the abuse. Any way that this is possible?

 

this has a high potential for abuse, i mean if you scammed some guy you would just have to lock his post and bump up a few others.

All reports are highly important. There's different levels of rules, and different levels of punishments, but all rules are equally important. Making some to be taken care of a priority over the others will make it very chaotic.

They'll be dealt with, just like the others.

 

I think they try and get back to the reports ASAP anyway, but somtimes it can take a while, i see what you mean by it aswell. Qwite a good idea.

 

If something is extremely urgent, look for a moderator who is online, and PM him the thread.
