ThePrestigedMuzza -Pardon Request.

(Just want to create this from now so that i can update/link to this thread when i have repaid those scammed).


The Scam:
On the 27/2/2011 I scammed for a total of 32m RS2 GP (Roughly $24)
I had used my original account:

Reason for scamming:
Back then when i was 17, I used to love the runescape, and had just gotten into luring (not scamming, but pretending to 1v1, then a clan will show up). I used to use sythe to leech (purchase gold rarely), and had been scammed in 2009/2010. (http://www.sythe.org/archives/586446-scammed-my-account-josh-powner.html and http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer-archive/962860-fcapeservices-scammer.html) and had realized that none of the people i reported ended up getting banned for what they had done (i was an amature at reporting/understanding the evidence required) and I thought maybe i could try and get away with it, so i tried many forms of rsgp only scams, as I saw it as luring, i never did it for real life gain, to me it was just catching people off guard, I was so concerned on reaping the benefit i never really stopped to think about the victims themselves. It was a single day that I had scammed but i had intent for a few months to try it. I really did not care for anything back than when it came to video games, I had seen it as luring therefore it was fun. However It did not feel anything like luring, it legitimately made me feel like i stole money from people, which is something I am really against morally. However I just convinced myself it was virtual items and that it shouldn't matter, however the uneasy feeling prevented me from trying it again.

Thought i would make a new account to continue using Sythe for what I had been using it for; leeching. Just buying gold when I needed it. I never made it to evade and attempt to re-scam. I kept using the account every now and then to buy gold. Collecting the vouches I had been getting considering I had thought maybe If i ever wanted to repeat the scam, I could. However like I mentioned before after the really uneasy feeling of actually feeling like a thief, I had planned to make no intention of scamming ever again. I had actually learnt the value in what I had scammed, and considering the amount in which i was spending on gold i no longer saw it as just gaming items, i saw it as people's pocket money, and it wasn't a trap that i had got them into, it was them entrusting and depending on me and me abusing that trust and stabbing them in the back.


The Pardon:

Why confess?:
I have realized it is actually improbable for me to ever be caught. As I had made 'ThePrestigedMuzza' when i moved houses a month after the old account had been banned. So the IP would never match, All evidence (emails/account's involved) are in Images, preventing a google search. Although the names were still similar and the skype/email had been similar after a $100 bounty that plznate made, I had seen that no one was able to find any connection. So I could of literally 'got away' with this, I mean I am 20 years old now, I'm not the same person I was back then, I could of continued my new pursuit to become a legit trader with a clean reputation. However it is in that reason why I wish to come clean. I want to be able to convince people that I am a trustworthy individual and not be lying through my teeth, If i was to return people would believe what I would have to say cause I would also believe it. I wish to make amends to the victims of my actions that night, regardless of the fact that it was 2 years ago. I was younger back then, and I'm not the same person, i know that I have to take responsibility for my actions and therefore that is exactly what I am doing. This site now actually means something to me, I'm using it as a business but am making friends and really enjoying my time here, and after the past week or so I have been attempting to take out the trash and try to really clean up sythe by hunting evaders/other rule breakers, this is why i don't think i should be excluded from this.


Banned Scammed Victims:
I explained this to Amethyst, 3/5 Scammed victims are actually banned at the moment, however considering they were not banned when the incident occurred I still believe they are entitled to a repayment. As my actions may not have been why they turned to scamming, but it's definitely ignorant to say it wasn't a factor. Therefore I have also tracked them down and am contacting them for repayment.

Appeal:
If this were to eventually be approved and I am to get unbanned, I think you will get someone who you yourselves could trust. I'm just wanting a clean fresh start to have some fun and even potentially have a little side business for virtual goods. I have only recently been active within the community however It was because I had wanted to pursue a trading store revolved around the game that had consumed most my childhood. I am a trustworthy and honest individual and will constantly try to prove that to anyone who doubts it and to re-affirm it to those who acknowledge it. It's not guilt that has caused me to do this, It's me wanting to live up to the reputation which I have created.

I have been involved with multiple trades dealing with way more than I had been entrusted with in the past, and have been in the position of trust on more then one occasion. I have donated to sythe $100 which wasn't scammed or anything but to show my support to something that I would love to be apart of. I will continue to respect the staff and continue being myself, although I have been in the middle of allot of controversial things I myself can only state that I am human, and I do make mistakes and I do overreact, however I'm a mature person and can take responsibility for any actions i have done or will do.
