Theory for Why Marijuana is Illegal in the U.S.

Believe it or not, a good majority of people smoke weed everyday even though its illegal in the U.S. Why doesn't the United States Government just make it legal already? Is it because they don't want a school bus driver driving kids around stoned out of his/her mind? Could be. Or is it just because the United States is completely stubborn? There's a lot of controversy about this and I have come up with something that almost sounds believable.

We all know weed makes you feel good due to the increase of your dopamine levels. Now, the way I feel about this is, when you aren't high, you want to be, which almost creates some sort of a depression. People just simply don't enjoy life as much when they are sober which is what triggered all of this for me. Marijuana is like a miracle drug. If you have a headache, smoke a blunt, it goes away. A stomach ache, pack the bowl and eat tons of food. Now why wouldn't the government support such an amazing herb? Well the way I see it, the percentage of over population has been increasing drastically over the years and soon enough, we will run of out space to house all of the people that will soon be on earth which is the exact reason they are studying the ability to start life on Mars or whatever planet it is due to the existence of H2O on the planet. Well we have all heard the expression "depression kills" and in a way this is true. As sick as it may seem, I believe the government keeps marijuana illegal so the people that aren't ballsy enough to break the law stay depressed and kill off the population more quickly to avoid the increase of rates that could be happening. If weed is able to fix so many problems, and reduce stress, more people on earth would be happy and enjoying life, but that could increase life expectancy.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree/disagree or have another theory to share? All feedback is greatly appreciated!

It's a possibility, but the whole "when you are sober, and you want to be high, you go into depression" statement isn't true, this may be true for people that have nothing else to do for fun so they turn to weed to make things better, but it's not true for a lot of the people that smoke.
