Its clear cut, lil wayne is who everyone hates. I love his punchlines, hes obviously out to make hits. not real music. he makes catchy jingles, thats why hes on everyones songs now, because he has verses that are fun to listen to with witty punchlines...

My favorite rapper of all time is Eminem lyrically. He makes real music, outside of his playful songs.

I also like underground rappers like Reed Dollaz

 

Lil Wayne is only out for money, he doesn't care about the fans whatsoever. He is just a money loving whore, he doesn't deserve what he has and he doesn't deserve to have his life.

He is nothing but a complete fucking asshole, his music sucks (just like all rap nowadays), god, I hate mainstream music and rap.

Tbh I hat rap nowadays because its just pointless. Souljaman or watever his name is says one verse the the next he just goes off topic and says anything just to make it ryme. I miss old rap because it had a point in the lyrics they were saying and I say 100% now,you like the beats,not the rapper, trust me on that 1. If easy-e came back with some sweet beats,He would blow these "young cats" out of the water.The only good track lil wayne has ever made was Dr. Carter because it actually had a point.Rap is like a good essay paper with a intro,thesis,body which support the thesis,and a ending. Rappers now are just making up the body as they go along lol.

 

I don't look up to lil wayne or anything, I think he's a bit of a poser. If i was to say I like some of his songs, it'd probably be some of his older (not REAL old) songs, not his recent stuff. But he doesn't even write his own lyrics or anything, and they are bad enough as it is.

Of course, I'll listen to some Lil wayne songs from time to time.

I don't like him. Personally writing lyrics of no sense whatsoever doesn't compose of a good artist. He's not the best, but he is little.

 

Why hate mainstream music and rap? Why not just mainstream? I mean, most of it is just club songs, and appeals to only the people who actually like that stuff.

Lil' Wayne is good at what he does but I cannot find a reason to call him a rapper. Common is a rapper, Mos Def is a rapper, Nas is a rapper, Kanye WAS a rapper. I can't justify calling someone a rapper when all they do is make songs about how much money they have and how many 'bitches' they get.

 

I feel you on that. You know hip hop is really dead when people are claiming that Lil Wayne is one of the greatest rappers
When will some of this new generation wake up and pay attention and distinguish real music from from some that manufactured autotune, crank stank and stanky leg bullshit.
Also a few more rappers I would add is Wu Tang Clan, Rakim, and the one and only 2pac.

HORRIBLE. Sad part is, he has Drake on his label, and Drake blows him out of the water lyrically. Lil Wayne is the "Worst" Rapper alive, with a horrible voice who thinks he can sing, and now he's doing rock?

I love all music from rock, to metal, to hip hop, to rap. But if there is one person in the music industry I can not stand it is Lil Wayne. His lyrics are stupid, his songs are annoying, and his voice is even worse. Not to mention his career is dieing.

 

He's not only a poser and a "wangsta" as 50 would say..

He writes the most wack rhymes in the game.

I can't wait until everyone can't stand him
