I notice people are scamming less on this website!

i look in the report a scammer section and i see almost no reports. last week there was like 4 full pages of reports

great job everyone; lets keep it a scam-free zone!

 

Its more because staff are taking care of them. Scams will always happen and it's all in the control of the traders to not get scammed. Getting scammed is hard when you normally take precautions with every trade regardless of how 'trusted' the user is. It should be natural to take precautions.

Good job to those who have been taking care of the reports and such.

 

This does not mean there are less scammers, the mods are just taking care of the reports and archiving them more quickly.

 

I also believe that the users are being more safe in their trades, which is helpful all around.

 

There could be a slight decline in scams happening, but it's mostly because the mods are owning the section. Dial, Wulfspade, Ryan, and n4n0 especially get to reports about a minute after posting them, which is the strongest i've seen it in my sythe days

 

I find users are being safer in terms of who they choose to trust in a trade, and are more aware of chargebacks and such, but imposter scams are still very very common :/

 

While the main reason the RaSc is empty is because the current staff team are super-active and aren't behind in their duties, I do feel that the RaSc isn't posted in as often as it used to be a couple of years ago. Whether this is because there are less users on the site or less scams I'm not really sure, just an observation I've made.

 

I don't get how people fall for imposters...

 

When they really want something and they get a good deal they get excited. You've got a bit of experience around your belt as well, which newer members obviously don't. They don't seem to understand the dangers of a Blackmarket because they're used to any buying/selling they do in real life always working fine.
