I third this, some of the threads in there are ridiculous and I'm starting to get sick of going in there, i don't much but when i do.

Make 2 sections. A sub section of SFA could be called something like 'Controversial', and then the main section of SFA could be all the approved/hot topics that are posted in Controversial.

Gives two sections for discussion, as well as splitting up the more used topics.

No, I don't want to go back to having topics be approved. I read all of them and if there is a topic that I determine doesn't meet the standards it will be deleted or moved.
Yes the quality there can suck, but you also should realize this is mainly a runescape cheating forum populated by mostly teenagers.

 

I do agree, but that doesn't mean people who are new to the forum should immediately jump into open debating. The section is for intelligent debates only, clearly if they aren't showing a shred of intelligence, then some form of action should be taken.

Since the damage is done by the time the post, doing something against them isn't enough. You need preventative measures to ensure such idiocy is contained... or at least reduced.

I agree that we need to approve the thread before being posted.

 

The quality didn't 'suck' when Darren was running the SFA forum and offtopic is separate from the cheating sections. DKM, when you have topics like this where people don't know the difference between your and you're, it disrespects the forum.

Now I'm not asking you to go around correcting all the grammar mistakes in posts, but at least make sure the topic titles don't look idiotic.

Additionally please remove topics such as this from the SFA. As Sythe said in his sticky, "We don't care if you like bush, or you think global warming is man made." We also don't care what you think should be done about Obama.
