So I was hanging with my cousin and my other friend (who is also a girl) an hour before I was suppose to head out to a party ( They were also both drinking) . My cousin is the one who supplied me with "something to drink" ( obviously I paid her for it) and I bought some "stuff to smoke" from her ( forgot to pay her thankfully ). Well I was in the back of the car about to pass out - I was Up Up&Away and they started talking about them having sex, which they've already done and started listening to lesbian music and all that.

Now mind you my cousin and her boyfriend already broke up with each other because she had sex with this same girl like 2months before but they got back together.

Well things started to get pretty heated they weren't doing anything yet but I hopped out of there and got into my car and I drove down to my cousin's boyfriend's work and I told him what was going on. ( He's also a good friend of mine - me and my cousin were as tight as could be also ) and he started freaking out on my cousin. I eventually left to head out to the party. When I got there before I could even start drinking my cousin drove out there crying and pissed off as hell. ( I didn't know it at the time but my friend broke up with my cousin ) And she demanded the drink I payed for back and the other stuff I got from her that I forgot to pay for or she would call the police on this party, so not wanting to ruin everyone's night I gave it back to her. Mind you she did this in front of like 20 people ( Party was just starting ). So she left, and people were like wtf? and offered to drink me up but I just ditched the party to go hangout with some other friends that made me "feel good" again.




Did I do the right thing?


Bro's before Hoes...right? even if the Hoe is your cousin?

I mean everyone told me I did the right thing - and I think so too but I just feel awful about it and my cousin was living with her boyfriend so shes got to find somewhere else to live.

P.S. This isn't like experimental lesbian stuff either my cousin is as bi as it can get and the other girl is too and like I said they've already done this stuff before.

 

I would chose family over friends any day. I don't know if that was the best choice because your family will always be with you. Bros before hoes only really applies if it's some random chick, not your cousin. If I were you, I'd apologize to her.

So they were already broken up? If so, why did he yell at her? And why would she care if they're not together?

If they WERE together, props to you for telling your friend. No one deserves to be cheated on behind their back.

But they're already back together, I'm pissed all of their/my friends are pissed they're just not meant for eachother all they do is fight and bitch and moan and they break up like once a month.

I woulda chose family over friends because blood is ticker then water. but i would have had to ask myself this "Would the Bro do the same thing for me in this situation" if yes then it could go either way if no then you did the wrong thing.

 

Your were in a tough situation, and whatever option you took wouldn't of been the wrong one.

Personally however I would've acted differently.

Assuming your friend was one of your really close friends I would've just done this:

Nothing.

No good can come out of either option, if you don't tell your friend, no one knows.
If you did tell him as you've just done, you've tightened your relationship with your friend, but temporarily/permanently ruined your relationship with your cousin.

Personally I also think if that it's none of my business what others do or don't do. Just because I have information, doesn't mean I need to use it.

Don't think you did the wrong thing though, there is no right or wrong in your situation but at least everyone sees you now as trustworthy.

 

You did the right thing, even if it is family no one ever deserves to be cheated on and not know about it. Don't worry about your conscience, what had to be done was done.

I think what you did is okay. It depends how your family is though. Like I know in my family doing something like that would end up backfiring even though it's the right thing. Props for doing whats right man.

You don't benefit from it, and it causes drama, leave it to them to do what they want. Simple as that.
