Man Survives 15,000 Foot Freefall

Both of this guy's parachutes failed,
As he was about to die, he waves goodbye, fearing death.
He survived by falling into a berry bush, and left with a broken ankle.​

He's such a lucky person.

 

Such a lucky person omg that's one of the worst thing's of your life to die, and also that's why I don't like doing these kind of Sky diving because I'm also thinking if the parachutes fails, also if god didn't love him he would of left him to die like that but because god loves him he gave him a second chance..

I'd hate to be in the shoes of either guys.

His friend, just watching your friend free fall so fast, from 15,000 ft. You wouldn't think he had any chance at survival.

The guy himself, even worse. But how he responded to his friend was just amazing, I thought he would be unconscious which would have made it even scarier on the friend's part.

 

Can you imagine the feeling of knowing you're about to die in seconds?

Thats just crazy, I would never dare fall from that height.

 

I bet that guy doesn't take a second of his life for granted anymore. holy.

 

I'm surprised he didn't have much more to say towards the end.

Thats insane, imagine knowing you're about to die, must be the worst feeling ever, incredible.

 

People have survived falls from much higher without parachutes at all. You can throw a cat out of a plane and it will most likely survive.

 

Without a parachute? No man.. terminal velocity for a cat would be anywhere between 110-140 miles per hour depending on the position of the cat(if it spreads out and enlarges its surface area it will fall slightly slower due to more air resistance)

But still, even if somehow it managed to reduce its terminal velocity to 90 miles per hour that's still like driving a car at 90 miles per hour straight into a brick wall without air bags or anything.

 

No. Its more like 60 and if they are able to stay upright and spread out it could drop further and then it would be survivable. There was a study that showed that cats falling from anything under seven stories were hurt more the higher they went but after seven stories they got hurt less. This may be due to the cats having more time to get into a good stance to slow themselves down. But yea. Not all cats would survive but a fair amount most likely would.

 

Lawd have mercy. Those bushes probably saved his life.

 

Incredibly lucky man! I would be shitting my pants if I witnessed my friend falling from such height like that. To be honest, I wouldn't know how to approach the body when it would hit the ground. I can imagine how amazing it was hearing his friend's voice after that fall. Glad the outcome was the way it was.

 

Simply amazing. Though this guy was in a traumatic near-death experience, he now has an amazing story to tell at dinner parties.
