    The scammers that got away?

Just thought I'd say I don't like the fact that Jack Hoff or w/e and his worker evaded a ban because Zerkerfist was busy and took far too long to get to the bottom of the scam report. I saw the links, he saw the links, and we both know that they showed sufficient proof to ban his worker, if not both of them. Not even a TWC? Why did it take two days when the proof was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo clear. I just think the forum should know at least that they were facebooking and recovering accounts and using bugs. But no, it's been swept under the rug because of the crucial 2 day lag in which nothing was done, where the evidence conveniently disappeared. Not that it's Zerkerfist's fault for being busy, but he must have got something from the talks he had with the scammers, and he knows there was proof anyway. In fact, a simple search of those websites would probably reveal the posts they made, if they havn't been deleted. If I'm not busy later I'll do my best to contact the guy who reported them, or search for the posts manually, although they have probably been deleted now.

If anything this is problem with your system of scam reports, just because one Mod picks it up, then says he's busy, why can't another mod get to the bottom of it.

    In reference to http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1444591

EDIT: THE LINKS ARE WORKING AGAIN.

At the time Screensnapr was having terrible database issues and it seemed like it could not be fixed, this would mean the information was lost forever.

IMO Zerker acted right, except for the part where he did not check back after the database issues were solved.

Obviously this should not be let go and this is just a 2nd chance at punishing those who need to be punished.

Chris should be banned, however Jack should not.

I think I agree with you. They seemed real close however. Like if Chris was scamming (Which he was), then Jack knew about it. Whether he did or didn't is irrelevant however, he is accountable for his workers, it's just a shame that the people that were hacked didn't know how they were hacked/haven't reported them.

I'm sorry but I do not see why I deserved that.
But, as this is your thread, I will leave it alone from this moment.

It may not be their decision, but they're free to talk about it.

Criss should be banned, but Jack should be banned as well I showed jack the report and he just avoided it so therefore he should also share the responsibility of employing him and keeping him employed even though he had seen the report. In the future though don't post threads like this and instead just repost the scam report to bring it back up with your reasoning added to it.

When I posted this I wasn't aware that the screenshots were working again, in fact they weren't. That is pretty clear from my edit. Hence I had a pretty good reason to post this. Since they are working again, at least Chris should be banned. If I didn't bring this up, he probably would have walked free, at least for a while to continue his ways.

No they aren't. This is why regular users aren't allowed to post on scam reports.

OP go make a scam report, I don't see why you would post this thread without making a scam report with sufficient evidence(pictures that actually upload). It's not zerker's fault screensnapr's servers suck.

Jack asked me to handle the report and I agreed, which is why I posted on it originally. However Jack lives in NZ which is completely on opposite sides of the world from me, and it took 2 days for us to arrange a meeting time where we could speak and Jack could go over his side of the story, defending his assistant. Even ask KMJT (because he was on MSN at the time) that I had to wake up from a dead sleep at 2:00 A.M. my time to be able to finally speak with Jack face to face, as I realized the report was pending for days which is not very appropriate.

Also, when I did finally speak to Jack about this, he defended his assistant's innocence, claiming that he was hacked and has completely switched Skype addresses before the report was even filed due to his old Skype being compromised and him being unable to recover it. From what I understand, the pictures show proof of his assistant's contact details on another forum - which speaking completely objectively, could have been posted by anybody. There have been cases before where people have had their names cleared because these "profiles" of their's that appear on BA or HF were deliberately set up in order to frame them.

I am not necessarily saying that is what I believe as I obviously did not have a chance to go over the report. But keep an open mind - the person who reported CrissCross & Jack Goff was GTdarkpunisher, who has been recently hacked by a person who has scammed using at least 2 Sythe acounts (check this report for info: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1446195). It is a very possible scenario that this hacker/scammer hails from either BA or HF and could have deliberately set one, or both, of these guys up.

Here is an update on the situation after Jack Goff and CrissCross have been banned. If what this person is posting on BA is legitimate, then Jack Goff's story & the above described scenario may be true.

    Link to new report: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1448883

Another screen shot was posted today (posted below), and it appears to show some members of BA arguing over who gets the 'credit' for getting Jack Goff & CrissCross banned.

It appears very possible that the BA user who allegedly RAT'd CrissCross & hacked his Skype and used it to scam people, is also associated with the BA user who hacked GTdarkpunisher and scammed a bunch of people here on Sythe.

This makes a lot of sense as to WHY GTdarkpunisher posted a report against CrissCross & Jack Goff in the first place.

Here is the screen shot where both BA users described above are apparently arguing over who is responsible for Jack Goff & CrissCross being banned on Sythe:

Also - I don't know much about BA, but apparently you have to be referred by an existing member of even register on the site. If this is true, then the fact GTdarkpunisher posted a report with direct pictures from BA should have been questioned in the first place when that report first came in. Can anybody confirm/deny this?

There is an active thread in the SL and I am trying to get the other staff to look at it >_<

I assume you are talking about BA. Can you elaborate?

I've been unable to view the site the few times I've tried to go on it. You need to be a member already to view the pages it seems, and so all the screen shots I've obtained from the BA boards have been submitted voluntarily by users who have accounts there.
