    I have a XP pro/OSX86. (dual boot)
    I don't know how to take pictures on OS X though.

    It's actually on the slideshow function for the background image, so I screenied my favorite of them all. ;)

    Icons ruin the background images. D:
    That's why I like the new "dock" style taskbar in Win7, I don't need any icons and I can still access the programs I use often quickly.

    Command+shift+3 for full desktop
    Command+shift+4 to select a certain area
    Command+shift+4+space to take a picture of one application window

    It will save it to your desktop
