Is maxed boxing worth it?

My main is 99 Attack 99 Strength 75 Defense 99 HP 52 Prayer

I use to destroy DDSing, but SOL is gay. I wish we had a DDS/Whip only tab.

So, I need money. Is it worth it?

 

Well 75 def isn't maxed so I assume you mean getting 99 def to box. If that's the only reason you are doing I wouldn't really think it would be worth it because unless you are cheating, you only have ~50% profit and only if you don't get ripped

 

It will be worth it. You could even have players with 99 defense 2x you, for even more profit.

 

Maxed boxing is total luck. If you think you're lucky, go for it.

 

I'm not lucky. But I know odds.
And if you have the funds, using the roulette method with a 50% chance of winning, you ALWAYS end up winning.
Of course there are numerous variables that can change the outcome, but I'm pretty confident.

 

if you want to box, then yeah, my old boxer wasnt maxed but he had a mad high defence compared to the other stats, and that usually made me win
so I would recommend getting a way higher defence

I think you'd make more money boxing mains that are your cb lv then you would make at maxed levels. Because most people your level wouldn't have that oh so critical 99 atk. I'd say look for people 1-2 levels lower than you, that way they still kind of want to box you, this raises your chances of winning to about 55-60% i'd say. Unless you come across one of those 1 prayer boxers.

Have fun getting cleaned with that method. There's plenty of stakers out there who have lost more than 10+ duels in a row. That 50% method is just a fallacy and will leave you with nothing

I used the doubling method to get up to 900m and then lost 8 times in a row and got cleaned. Here's a rough example of what will happen if you use this method -
Say you're staking 2m at a time and have 250m. If you double each time you'll lose, you'll go bankrupt if you lose 7 times in a row. There's a 1/128, or .78% chance of losing 7 in a row. If you want to double your money, to 500m, you'd have to win 2m 125 times, and since you only have to lose *once* to lose everything, there's a 125/128 (97%) chance you'll go bankrupt on the way. So if you wanted to double your money, you'd be much better off just staking 250m once, where there's only a 50% chance of going bankrupt.
See what I mean? Imo, maxed boxing isn't worth it, it's too much dependent on luck. I'd try rapier staking, specs off.

 

Lol thanks for proving my point, I was way too lazy to type all that up though. Also Rapier staking probably puts you at a much greater dis advantage if you don't get first hit, but at least it's over quick

 

First hit is at least somewhat based on skill, though, and not just random luck, so if you get really good at timing first hit you can be at an advantage. Also, if you have a rapier and a cls, you can pull out your cls at the right time for the KO, so there's also some strategy involved there.

 

It is in the 2k11 era. Only legit way of staking left, unless you have a rapier.
