    The risks of RWT

I'm curious as to knowing what the risks of doing RWT really are. Has any of you gotten banned for it and are there any conclusions to draw from this? Do Jagex even need explicit proof to ban? If I sell gold on an account, are my friends whom I give free gold to in risk?

As far as I know, nobody has gotten banned yet.
I've traded myself over 2B on a lvl 3, at one point even ppl starting following me as soon as i logged in and spammed sythe lol.

Jagex can never prove u RWTed or not, and therefore they wont ban you for it. (unless u buy from gold4rs IP or so).

If they'd ever ask about it i'll just say that i betted rs gold on a chess over MSN or over a dm in #idm, or that i won/held a lottery or whatever.

I've done several trades since February 2nd, and since before the trade limit was initially introduced, and my account is still mine with 0 black marks. I'd say it's not very risky.

their is a rumor that one of those people hacking everyone had his mule banned with around 5B on it

But remember, anything is possible it has only been one week, so we will find out for sure in the near future.

Put it this way, just act it through.

Don't just trade over cash and don't say anything, say things like 'hey mate'. Here's the cash that I owe you, quiting runescape now.. etc. Make it look like you know the person as much as possible.

I'm with MotherEAPSer, It hasn't been long enough yet. It can be 2 weeks later that they ban you. But seeing as most people probably legitimately gave money away, your chances aren't bad unless your continue to do it.

You can get banned, I know a gold seller that has been selling a few people such as R2P and Nate who recently got his account banned.

Luckily, the guy usually has more gold in stock, he only had 120M when it got banned. So yes, someone has already gotten banned and lost 120M.

For now it's hard to spot this for Jagex, over 25 trillion gold was traded a few days after the release of Free Trade. A lot will get away, despite them knowing the risks, they still "transfer" and "sell" rsgp.
