    4444 Dispute

My reply to the yes was that he had been kicked off. I was in a hurry to leave so I had posted my T.O.S quickly the account had only been checked on the settings for the following name change/linked social media account/google auth which I always check. The account had not been checked for any items.

I had responded that he had been kicked off, also I posted the t.o.s quickly thinking that he could may have left items on the account but that was before it had been made clear that was not allowed. Had there been 70m on the account yes he would have been entitled to a refund of that. Although I should have kept his deposit which at the time I thought it would have been better to give him the 2m to ensure future business.

Poor moderator decision on Dunworrys part, I am not paying him 70m because he had said it was on the account. He could have said there was 700m on the account I still would have said yes that me changing the password was the reason he was booted off the account.

Surely he would have to provide some proof that he had 70m on the account when I changed the password? Osbuddy screenshots winnings with a time stamp? Video? How do we know he didn't lose his last stake and simply trying his 'luck' at getting the free refund.

    Bed time.

Let's break this down. You quoted #11 of your TOS individually where you say you get to keep the items on the account. After he asks you to get his 70M 07 back, you simply say "sorry". Not buying your story at all. Going to get a 2nd opinion

Yes I had posted the my t.o.s quoting rule 11 as I had though at the time it would have covered me had there been any items on the account. Multiple users made this clear that it was against the rules and that was poor preparation on my behalf. Although like I said if I was out to 'hunt' him on technicalities I should have kept the deposit too.

    Further reply:

I had responded sorry as I had not met his expectations in regards to providing him with a warning when to get off the account. I was in a rush and wasn't taking his comments exactly seriously so thats why some of my responses were to multiple messages he had sent me.

If I was to check the account and seen that there was items left on it before the 'can't keep rents property rule' had been brought to my light I would have kept it although this would have been quickly handed back to the user IF there was gold on the account.

Keep in mind that it is possible for the lender to boot you off the account at any time. Therefore, it is unwise to put anything you'd mind losing on a rented account unless you fully trust the owner.

Please note that you must provide video evidence in order to file a scam report against an account lender for booting you off an account you're renting. Extremely damning evidence (i.e., the lender admitting to booting you off) suffices, but in a vast majority of cases, a video will be necessary.

Facebook associating with RS Account Scam:

Remember to check your facebook/runescape account associations before and after EVERY transaction involving someone else having access to your account.

This method was recently highlighted in the suggestions forum and makes your accounts very liable to being raided, they dont even need your Runescape password to do it, just as long as they've used your account at least once to associate with it.

A way of preventing this is doing it yourself or making sure its not associated after EVERY transaction such as an upgrade or service performed on your RS account, or even bought accounts.
