$2 Membership

Been away from the game for a while but I remember there was a method that allowed membership to cost ~$2 for the first month.

Anyone know if this is still around and if so how it works?

cannot remember this ever happening, may have been wrong. there was however a introductory one month free membership for new accounts, yuo would have had to attach your credit card to it but the first month was free and it was recurring, unless you canceled your card then you got one month for free.

 

I know there used to be an option for $2 since I used it on multiple occasions. However, I forgot how to get the reduced rate. I am starting to think it may have been related to the trial and no longer available.

 

There was a 75% discount for the newly created accounts. But I believe they removed that option as I recently made a new account to play the 07 scape and I had to pay the whole 7€. I think they did it to reduce the number of gold farmers in runescape, especially now that the 07 servers are out.

 

You are wrong.

There was a two week membership trial, and after that trial if you upgraded within a certain amount of time, I think a week, you would get your membership for like 75% off or close to.

I did it to my current account but that was 2 months ago they updated the game recently so that you can train most member skills to 5 and a few members quests became f2p but it got rid of the trial members and the discount

 

Yes it's sad they no longer do this, I used it on about fifteen accounts.
