Help with running a minecraft server! Willing to pay!

I used to run a minecraft server, and recently ran into some problems with running it. The problem is that my friend's connection times out. I would be willing to pay if it works. honestly i just want to play with my friend again. I am not really willing to consider paying a company to host for me, as i have a pc which can easily allocate 8 gb of ram without affecting my game play. I would love some help, thanks!

 

Sounds like some console errors are causing it to disconnect, Are you running a vanilla server or a Bukkit?

 

Running a server on your own PC may prove to be a problem when it gets bigger, you might be DDoS'd too. I suggest getting hosting from a provider.
