Can you obtain someones IP through skype?

Title says it.

 

As far as I know after recent changes made by Skype this is no longer possible. (Don't quote me on that though)

 

yes you just need there skype email

I'm quite sure skype is no longer p2p, so you can only find the ip in old resolver databases (Not entirely sure), but it's very likely to be outdated

 

This is correct. I've been able to resolve my own IP via Skype multiple times in the past month. For that reason I highly recommend using Skype with a public or private proxy - Can I connect to Skype through a proxy server?

 

Yes you can pull an IP from Skype,
Skype is p2p and always will be,
So using packet sniffers or deobfuscated versions of Skype is always an option.

Second, I believe that after the 'patch' was pretty useless,
Because after the first month someone sold all of the major Skype resolvers an exploit where you can inject js into windows and linux Skype clients and pull an IP.
