If jagex actually pull the stop botting thing. What will happen?

you all think that just because bots get removed players will drop massively but think about it. A L O T of players quit because of the botters ruining there game. so most of them might come back.

so what you think will happen??

I don't think this update will affect the number of legit players, I personnaly cba to play legit.
You can add a poll yourself btw.

 

I think that although a few of the numbers will drop of P2P Players, the community itself will begin to navigate its way back to how it used to be.

That will attract players, trust me.

The players will drop crazy. Look at the game there is usually ~150k+ people playing. Look at the number when a update occurs.. Goes down to ~80k usually. And stays for awhile until people realize a update happened and they start their bots. Players will drop but it will be a solid legit players though. Bring the game back to normal. But seeing as how the bots are coming back all this doesn't matter.

 

Tbh there are a lot of legit players that cbf logging in after an update. I just glance over the update, browse a few forums, go running outside, do homework, take a shower...

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

I can't wait till Tuesday though.:nuts:

 

If this does happen which I doubt it should like bots being banned forever then rrunescape would be aa better game but even more people would quit and Fagex would lose a lot of money the game would not have as many updates but it wouuld be bettter and there are like 60-80k legit players

 

f2p numbers will probably drop and gold farm areas including sorc garden will probably drop

 

I just hope I wont get banned lulz...

 

This update would seriously hurt my money intake that I've been making consistently for the last 3 years, but gold prices are so low that I wouldn't mind this update to stop botting for a while to let gold prices get back up to hopefully $ 1 / m

 

Like 1/3 Of players online are botters or bot sometime. Jagex will be destroying alot of revenue fair play to them to do this though. Means maxed players accounts will be worth alot more.

I don't like the weekly updates, Jagex keep adding new content.

Same, i wouldn't mind stopping botting for a while if the RSGP value goes up. Guess i could get back to flipping legit and make some good income

 

I only see F2p players being effected, if this shit even happens. I honestly dont see Jagex mass banning P2p players, they're too money hungry.

Runescape would be nice without botters, however i really dont care, because i cbf to play legit anymore.

I think everyone hailing the downfall of botting only see it one way and haven't looked at it from all view points. Imagine how hard turmoil is going to be to get when/if botting is destoryed tomorrow.

 

At least low levels will be able to earn some decent money ^_^

Players will obvious fall because bots are players for jagex.

The prices on resource items will rise.

 

Hard to tell, if people hear that bots are gone then some legit players may come back. Although RS is not RS anymore, so I don't think it would be many legit players. And besides, who's to say bots won't come back again within a week or two?

 

well if everything goes right I believe that players will drop. But I think this is what Jagex is aiming for... It would make the game way better with less people playing it and more like how it was in old school RuneScape. I remember in 2003-2006 I dared not to use a bot because you'd get banned the day you botted. I hope it goes back that way. If it does I'll start playing again.
