    Reptiles - Bearded Dragons

Does anyone have any animals, mainly reptiles? I just got a pet a couple days ago, and i love him. We have had 3 bearded dragons before, but due to money circumstances and me not having a job to care for mine, we had to get rid of them. So finally i talked my mom into letting me get a new pet.

The story behind me getting it(long version) : I bought a laptop from a friend, for 50$. They wanted to just get rid of it, so i bought it from them. I had it for probably about a week, and then mom showed interest that she wanted a laptop. So finally i broke down, and told her i would sell it to her for 75$ and if she allowed me to get a pet. After having these little guys in the past, she said alright. So i went out and bought him :)

Short story : I traded a laptop for an animal.

    Onto the pictures!

I wanted one before, but I heard they go through hundreds of crickets a month for food, which is costly. I also don't have the right lighting to support it. I do own a leopard gecko though. :D

Btw, nice Dragon. What's his name?

    I have named him spock.

If you have room, buy a a hundred crickets, buy a giant plastic container used for storage and potatoes. When we had our bearded dragons, thats what we did. We actually bought 1k crickets because of the space we had, and we never bought crickets after that. And it only costed us like..40$ to start everything off. The lighting isn't anything special..go get a 75 watt day glow bulb from jacks or another petstore, along with a nighglow bulb and your set.

The whole setup, including the lizard probably costed me 150$.

    What do they do?

Like not to sound like i'm trying to be a dickhead or anything, but i'm just not a fan of pets like fish that just swim around and don't do anything interesting.

So do these bearded dragons do anything cool?

They are like other animals, you can hold them, walk them, etc. You can' really do much with them when they are little though, as they can get away. Once he gets bigger ill take him on walks XD

Hahahah taking a bearded dragon for a walk would be pretty sweet.

So do you like put a leash on them when you take them for a walk? That'd be so awesome.

They do make leashes for them, but they often get caught in their spikes. So you would have to make a custom leash probably.
