Welcome to my app.

Lets get right to it, why do i want to be a user edd?
I love helping people out, how ever it might be, that's why I'm also a mm (pending currently), it like to do it to help out people, make a sythe a better place, among other things. I'm sure being a user educator will open my doors to better help people. I'm pretty good with computers, and real life situations, dealing with hard times, and the best things to do in tough situations. I'm planning to become a counselor, or own a computer shop when I'm older. Well, now on to my guides.

Guide one: How to prevent getting keyloged.


Getting keylogged can be very bad, someone can get all your passwords, as well as your personal info, credit card numbers, and alot more. Being keylogged is just bad. How can you take the steps you need to NOT get logged? In this guide i will explain how the steps to take too protect yourself.


1. Downloading files.

Most of us download alot of files, for various reasons. The thing is, some files can contain viruses, keyloggers, and alot of malicious content. You need to be cautious in downloading files.


Places TO download things from.

1. Well known sites, such as Microsoft.com, Download.com, Apple.com, and any well known website. If the design looks professional there is a good chance it's safe.

2. Updates. When your computer needs to update, or other things need to update, such as programs, or software, most often something will pop up telling you that you need to update. These are usually safe to update. Be careful! Popups on the internet can say that it's an update, but it's only popup, containing bad content.

-What a good download site should look like-





Places to NOT download things from.

1. "Cracking sites", free hosting, places like megaupload (if a random person gives you a download link), serial code websites. Just use your common sense.

2. Places that offer you programs that can "edit stats" on runescape, pass crackers, hacking tools, and places that offer torrents. Alot of people put bad files in torrents, and malicious content. Be careful and only download torrents that have good feedback.

-What a bad download site should look like-





1. Scanning files.

Once you have a file download, even if you think it's safe, be even safer and scan it. Your not even going to have to spend cash on this! Just follow these steps.

3. Install avg.

4. Once avg is installed, and you need to scan a file, simply find it on your desktop.

6. If it's virus free, this should pop up:


7. If there is a virus, an option to move the malicious file to the virus vault should come up. Click on it, and move it to the virus vault. The delete whatever you downloaded, and empty the recycling bin.




1. Staying safe on msn.

People can send you keyloggers and other bad thing over msn. It's pretty simple to stop this though.

3. Unsafe files will be blocked.


4. Even "safe files" can contain malicious content. Just don't accept files over msn.

Guide one/Part two: How to remove keyloggers.


You wake up, log onto your computer. You open msn. What?! Your password isn't working. Next you try to log onto your runescape accounts. None work.
Well worst has comes to worse, and you have a keylogger. Well, your not completely screwed, most keyloggers can be removed pretty easily. Following these easy steps, you can remove keyloggers.



1. Spybot search and destroy.


This can be used to remove most keyloggers, and is a very good program. It's also free, and one of the most commonly used anti virus programs. It's very good for removing common and not so common viruses. This should probably be your first option is you realize your keylogged.

3. Install spybot search and destroy.

6. Once it has finished the immunization process, click here:


7. Your computer will now be scanned.

2. Other programs to use or buy if that doesn't work.

Well, that should probably get rid of your keylogger, but if it doesn't, there are other options.

3. Cleaning up.

Once a keylogger is gone, your only halfway through the process of getting rid of it. Someone could still know your bank info, and alot more! This can be very bad, so you need to take care of it right away. Once you think you've gotten rid of your keylogger, you still need to do a few more things.

1. Reboot, and then start another scan of you whole computer, using each anti virus programs you have, also scan again with spybot search and destroy. If no threats are found, go to step 2.

2. Change all your passwords, associated with banking, paypal, egold, myspace, sythe, instant messengers, msn, aim, anything and everything.

3. Now that you got rid of the virus, you need to protect yourself to not get viruses in the future. Scan daily with avg.

5. Once you install it, always have it on.

6. Always remember everything in this guide, scan daily, have your firewall on, don't download suspicious files, don't accept files over msn, and you will probably never have to go through this painful process again! Thanks for reading my guide, hope it helped.





Guide two: How to protect your computer from hackers.

Your computer can be accessed by hackers with many different motives.
They can read your files, fry your hard drive, reformat it, uninstall you operating system and just alot of bad things. These people know alot about getting into your computer, and you need to know how to keep them out.


1. Firewalls.

Firewalls are basically what filters what in and out of your computer from the internet. They are your number one weapon for keeping out hackers. This is pretty much an illustration of how they work.



Now, you might want to use a firewall that comes with your computer. If your using windows, follow these steps.

4. Now use the options.



Now, these firewalls aren't always the best, there are better ones out there.

I personally would recommend zone alarm. Remember having more than one firewall on at once may interfere with each other, and make both on them useless. Only use one firewall at a time, preferably zone alarm.




2.Open ports.

What are open ports?
Ports basically are connections that the computer uses when it uses the internet. When data passes from your computer to the internet, it opens a port to let the information in and out. Why can this be bad? When ports or open, hackers can get into your network and even your computer.
I'll now explain how to keep these protected.

1. Turn your firewall on, make sure all your protection is on.

2. Go to one of these three sites.
They help scan your ports, and see if you have any vulnerabilities in your network.

It alot of ports are vunerable, consider upgrading your firewall!



Guide Three: Not getting banned on sythe.

Getting banned on sythe is not good for you. For everyone who is devoted to sythe and the community, getting banned is really not a fun thing to go through. Even people that just use sythe for the black market, getting banned will not be good either, you'll lose all your trust and respect in the black market. Here i will explain the various punishments you can get, how to avoid them.


-The sythe.org rules (re-written with examples, etc)-



1. Warnings.


What they are:
Warning are not really a big deal, they are simply meant to show you the errors of your ways. You will get warnings for...


- Multiple Posts: Instead of using the EDIT button, you just post again and again. Always use the edit button.

- Bumping: Bumping up your topic, usually by just saying "bump!!" or something worthless that doesn't contribute to the thread at all.
Example: "BUMP BUY ThiS PlZz!!!"

- Gravedigging: Posting on threads that are just done with/concluded.
Example: "Wow cool video!" On a thread that hasn't been posted on for 2 weeks.

- Posting useless things: If you post stuff like "I agree" "Nice" or things that like in something for all, prepare to get a warning. I have.
Example: "I believe in god, durrr"




1. Infractions.


What they are:
If you don't listen to warnings, you will get infractions. These are very bad. Get three, and your temporarily banned. You get one infraction for doing these following things.


- Accusing someone of scamming: If you don't give proof (msn screenshots), and accuse someone of scamming with no proof (text logs aren't proof).
Example:



- Begging: Asking for free stuff. This is annoying and looked down upon.
Example: "Please i just g0t h@cked plz i need milz donate!!!"

- Infraction Complaints: Complaining about punishments you get somewhere besides the dispute forum. Don't complain, it will only hurt you more.
Example: "I DIDN'T DESERVE THAT INFRACTION REVERSEE IT PLZ!!"

- Multiple warnings: Not heeding warnings.
Example: You get warned about spamming, but you do it again.

- Misleading Title: Making your title different from what you thread is really about. Example:


- Flooding (mild): Posting in every single topic, very annoying.
Example:


- Posting Multiple Topics: Posting the same subject in different sub-forums.
Example: Posting "help meh get rid of this keylogger" in 4 different places.

- Badmouthing newbies: Bashing someone because the just recently joined.
Example: "You don't know anything noob, you've only been here one week! fuck u!".

There are even MORE serious rules that you will get TWO infractions if you break. You'll get two infractions for doing the following.


- Flaming: Cussing someone out, being mean, racist, cruel, or the such to a member of sythe.org, please don't do this, it just hurts everyone.
Example: "Fuck you gtfo my thread fag!"

- Discrimination: Being mean to someone because they are different from you.
Example: "I'm sick of stupid crackers/mexicans/chinks/etc on sythe!!'

- Advertising MM services: Putting your mm thread ANYWHERE besides mm App's and user services. We get this alot.
Example: Posting you MM topic in MM general.

- Referrals: referral links, asking someone to sign up to something under your name.
Example: Click here to get members!! www.cachcrate.com/refer=slave



3. 2 week ban.


What they are:
If you get 3 infractions, you will be banned for 2 weeks. further arguing about it will get your perm banned.



1. Perm ban.


What they are:
If you make a big mistake, or can't learn from your mistakes, you will be banned, forever. There's always appeals, but don't count on them.
You'll be banned FOREVAR for the following:


- Advertising: Posting links to other sites, making threads about your site, spamming it, etc. You can only have these in your sigs.
Example: Posting a thread about your new website.

- Porn: Posting porn, any websites or links, anything considered porn or pornographic.
Example: Putting a pornographic image in your sig.

- Warez: Simply put, telling people how to get things they are meant to pay for.
Example: Posting a thread about how to watch full length movies free.

- Impersonating: Trying to make people think you are someone with power, aka a MM, a mod, or anyone else.
Example: Changing your msn too "Dorito:Offical sythe MM!"

- Scamming: Or trying to scam, selling guides to free membership, selling scamming guides, guides that do not work, etc.
Example: Making someone go first in a trade, then logging out.

- Password Cracking: Being involved in trying to obtain someone else's password. Or posting links to phishing sites.
- Posting infected files: Posting deceiving links that contain keyloggers, trojans, malware, spyware, and the such.

- Multiple Accounts: Having more than one sythe.org account.
Example: Making another sythe account too vouch you.

- Selling Real Life Items: Selling real life items (cell phones, x-box's, ipods). Pixels only.
Example: Trading a i-pod for 50m.

- Plagiarism: Stealing someone else's work and saying it's you own. A.k.a if i copy and pasted all of these guides and said they were my own.
Example: People who copy and paste guides and apply for user edd.

- Avatar/Signature Ripping: Taking someone elses avvy/signiture, saying it's your, without talking to them first.
Example: When someone used my avatar as their own.

- Rank Impersonation: using santa hats, party hats, d-[]'s as avatars. Making sythe names like penn, C1ashfan, or things like that.
Example: Using this: as your avvy.

- Returning after a ban: Making a new sythe account, useing tor to get back on, or a proxy, using someone else's account, etc.
Example: Getting banned and changing your IP to come back on sythe.

Basically to sum that all up, only act like you are yourself, use intelligence in your posts, When you need to add something, use the edit button, don't scam people, be nice, don't flame, don't post illegal things, don't post porn (there are kids here), heed warnings, and just be a caring person! If you follow these guidelines, you probably won't get banned.



Guide four: How to install Firefox Add on's/top 5.

Firefox is by far the best internet browser. If you don't have have a copy, go pick one up right here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/. Now that you have it, time to install Add ons. I will first explain how to install the generic Firefox Add on, then show you the best ones for your browsing/safety.


1. Installing an Add on!

Once you get Firefox installed, open it. To install an Add on, follow these easy steps.

1. Click on tools, then Add ons.


2. Now click on get extensions.


3. Find a subcategory you would like to find an extension in.


4. Look though the hundreds of pages of extensions until you find one you want to install, then click on the link.

5. Once your on the page, scroll down untill you find this button:


6. This will now come up, click install:


7. It will now install, and this will pop up. Click restart firefox:


8. Now your Add on is installed!

There are a few add ons that stand above the rest. These are extremely useful and helpful.

Guide Five: How to Use Google and Other Similar Search Engines

If you use websites like yahoo, YouTube, and Google, you know there is alot of knowledge and power to be found if you search the web the right way. However if you search it the wrong way, you will just find useless things. In this guide i will show you how to search, the right way.

1.) Basic Search Knowledge and Tips

In order to get good results for what your searching for you need to think of something to search for. Think of a search term....? Good. Now you want to narrow down your results so that instead of random results, you get valid search results. Here are some useful commands to know when searching Google and most other search engines.

1. Quotation Searches- search for the EXACT term instead of the words separately, they are searched as a whole. To use this place quotation marks around your search.
2. Negate Term Search- this type of search will exclude results including the word which the “-“ is placed before.

2.) Google Images
Google images can be used for finding just about anything. It is pretty basic stuff really when it comes down to it- Google Images is extremely hard to search and get accurate results with. Basically because it’s hard to express images into cohesive English words, but mostly because the people who post images on Google Images can’t title their images Well, mostly because they are in a hury, or for other reasons. Some have random names that don’t pertain to anything in the image at all, or some don’t even include words, just random characters compiled into a so called “name.” Some feeble attempts to help your searches included below:
a.) Advanced Image Search is an ok alternative. It is quite basic.
b.) When Google refers to images as being “Small, Medium, or Large” they mean close the following approximated values. (Values in Pixels)

Large= From 1100 X 1100 and above
Medium= 100 X 100 From To 1250 X 1100
Small= From 1 X 1 To 60 X 60



3.) Google Video
Google video is pretty useless since google owns youtube, and you can get better search results with that. There are some good things on google video, but you'll have to find them yourself.

4.) Closing Notes
I could have gone on about every single one of Google’s features, but to be quite honest with you, you can do better on other specialized sites, such as instead of using Google’s News feature, you could use http://www.worldnews.com/ or something similar. Google can be used to find some of the worlds worst and best web pages- use wisely.
