The number 1 guide on how to save a wet cell phone

Hey everybody, cjmt905 here with a new guide.

Well recently i dropped my phone, and it fell into my friends pool. once i picked it up i paniced and went to blow dry it, that didnt work as well as people say. Then I decided to try a new idea out. And it worked better then ever.

This guide will show you the best way to save a wet cell phone.

    Step 1

    1. Take the battery out of your phone.

    2. Place both the battery and the cell phone on a metal cooking sheet.

    •Place the phone facing up.

•If your phone flips open, please keep it closed.

    3. Next preheat the oven to about 120°F

    Step 2

    1. Once oven is at 120°F place the cooking sheet on any rack.

•Let the phone sit for about 10-15 minutes.

•The reason for sticking your phone in the oven is, the oven will be hot enough to absorb all the water damage without melting your phone

    Step 3

    1. Once the timer goes off take phone and battery out and place them in a bag of uncook rice.

•Do this emediately while phone is still hot.

    2. Let the phone set over night and when you wake up it will be as good as new

•The reason for putting your phone in the bag of rice is, the rice will absorb the rest of the water that's left. Even though the oven has done most of the work, the rice will absorb whatever is help.

I hope you have benefited from this guide and it will help you out in the future =]

Take the battery out > get a blow dryer > blow try the battery and the inside of the phone for 20 minutes > let it sit over night.

    0/10 on the guide.

    No effort, too easy.

actually, blow dryers are the best way, hence cell phone companies advise you to do it before requesting another phone.

I think I'll stick to the hair dryer. Seems to be more effect and easier to do.

    hey, great guide.
btw you should write in your guide to put the phone in a bucket of sand. sand will get into the phone but it won't damage it or anything. sand has more efficency than rice.

I actually find this guide unique; I would never have thought to put my phone in the oven instead of blow-drying it but I'll have to try this when I drop it in water again. >_< Request: You should add a little more description to the part when you place your phone in a bag of rice; what it does, how does this help, why you should do it, etc.

Very good start though I think.

Sorry, but i only write guides on something I am familiar with. I really have no idea about sticking my phone in sand. Maybe you can write a guide on how to do that. I'm sure we'd all like to know.

washing it off in distilled water works very, VERY well. As water is NOT conductive by itself. Just a brotip.
