    The Middle Man Process

I've been looking at the middle man process sticky in the middle man application section and i feel it is a bit outdated.

I think it would be beneficial if someone (an accepted middleman, a mod etc) wrote an updated guide that everyone must follow to become a middle man. I remember the old RWT methods were easy and did not really need a guide. Like for pins they were always:

    1. Player Trades You Money
    2. You Put In Pin
    3. If it worked, you trade money to the pin seller

    Simple!

But now with this whole "bounty hunter" etc, i think a guide should be written on how to do an item trade. Like for a pin trade today would it be:

    1. You get pin, you check pin
    2. You do the bounty hunt trade on the recieving account
    3. Once items recieved, you then put in pin

    OR is it:

    1. You get pin, you check pin
    2. Both players do the bounty hunter trade without you logging onto their accounts
    3. Payment recieved, you put in pin

Reason i'm wondering is because, what if the player happened to die and not recieve payment? Or if you didn't go on their accounts, they could lie about whether or not they recieved payment.

I'm unaware on what this "claim and cancel" is in regards to paypal. I'm sure other members of sythe are wondering the same questions. Some of you may know all these answers, if so i think you'd be a perfect candidate to make a guide then.

So yeah thats my suggestion, that an updated guide is written on how to middle man that is agreed on and that the structure is followed by all applicants.

If there is already a guide in reference to all this then please link me to it, since i haven't seen it and i've been looking for one.

    yea this is pretty good.
because what if the mm doesnt have a really good computer and has lags.
so it would be hard since the trade limit.

I also agree. Im tired of people selling false pins, then reporting you for "scamming" them.

Because, lets say Person A has a pin, Person B is buying.

Person A gives pin to Person B
Person B says pin doesn't work, which it doesn't
    Person A says, "0mfg *** scamm3d m3!!!"
    Person A reports him
    Person B gets banned.

Lots of people are doing this now.. And its really irritating, Just to get others banned, and person b has NO proof at all, because person a can just say, "thats not the account you used it on!"

So either remove pin trades ALLTOGETHER. Or use a way to improve them, because no1 really wants to use an OMM because they charge to much, and MM's are on sometimes, but takes to long. So i agree that they need a new guide and STRICT rules on pin trades.

Your post is really confusingly worded. Can you please edit it to more concise thoughts? I can kind of see what you're saying but I'm not quite sure.

Claim and cancel has a guide by the way. Just click blackmarket and you'll see it stickied. I believe R2pleasant wrote it.

Basicly in a quick summary, what i'm saying is that middle man'ing isn't as easy as it used to be. There are a lot more ways that people trade, back in the day that i played runescape, barely anyone ever used paypal since RWT'ing was just so easy. Now its a bit complex though, therefore i think a guide would be beneficial.

as A MM myself, I do agree that A guide needs to be written on how the trading methods work. I personally Have kinda of formed my own method. Mainly for pin Trades, and It has never failed me. If I get accepted as Official Middleman, I wouldn't mind witting a guide on trading methods.

you should be smart enough before hand to tell the seller " if you die in BH after killing me i still get (item)" see what they say if you disagree dont trade.

if your a buyer and you think if you die you should get it again then state that. if they disagree leave

also i believe theres already a guide somewhere on the site

I was going to start an OMM application, but the stickies were outdated, so I ended up browsing other applications to find out how.

Yeah thats exactly why i made this suggestion. I went to make a middle man application as well so i was reading all the stickies on how to do it but they weren't very informative on how to actually do trades. So i ended up having to read lots of middle man applications and i noticed a fair few people do things differently and i'm not sure whats the correct method since i don't want to do the wrong method if it means i won't become an official MM.
