Eminem.

I think that Eminem is one of the best rappers to ever create music. Now before you guys go all "hur hur mainstream noob", I am a hardcore eminem fan, I listen to everything he puts out. What do you guys think?

I think he is so good because he knows how to make good lyrics, and also, white people and black people have different "tones" of voice, so eminem's voice is smoother and more likeable then a lot of the other rappers out there. Not being racist btw.

 

He sounds like squidward off spongebob. I can't stand his voice, it sounds like he is constantly whining with a bad cold.

 

His newer stuff is good but not anywhere near what his songs were like from slim shady LP & Encore. IMO he's the best rapper alive right now.

His music is terrible. Example: "Lighters"

 

IMO = in my opinion, so yeah. When I say i think he's the best i meant his career as a whole. Lighters isn't my favorite, but his and Royces new EP is decent though. But with all these shitty artists now a days rapping about senseless shit (Including wayne), he's still up there at the top.

Songs like Lose yourself, cleaning out my closet, and till i collapse put him there, nothing can touch those songs, they are so real. Lyrically he's definitely the best.

 

Dude trying to understand eminem is like .. trying to understand gibberish when you do not even know a language. Eminem is truely talented.

I think his newer music is pretty shitty, even though I once was a die hard Eminem fan, I just don't like his newer music.

What this guy said. He's not the best, but is in the "elite" category of rappers alive today. I used to listen to his music alot back in the day, but not as much anymore. :s

 

I do agree that some of his newer shit isn't as good or should I say legendary as you would hear in the 90's. I grew up listening to Eminem as a kid and always respected him with his lyrics and the truth beyond his life. What he says he meant and you could feel it from his songs. "Stan" is one of my favourites from him and everytime I listen to it, it just is real and one of a kind masterpiece.

Still though he is way better than most rappers today, it's really a roadkill that I lost touch with the genre rap/hip-hop because of all the rappers without the ability to put forth real emotion in their lyrics. Eminem is basically the only rapper I listen too in the 21st century. If you think Lil Wayne is the best rapper think again. I won't be judging on your tastes tough we got a different opinion for everything. I am just saying he isn't the best as most people cut him for today. Will always respect Eminem for what he has brought to us.

Mobb Deep / Nas / Big L / Rakim / Mos Def etc.

I also love Eminem's Infinite album.

His MC'ing days were the best with his Detroit group, loved Curtain Call, and I'm not really a fan of his newer stuff, definitely prefer his old stuff. But best Rapper alive? I don't think so, he's getting old now. But he will still remain the king of rap as far as I'm concerned.

 

Eminem is decent. I used to like him a lot, but his new music isn't that great.

 

He's alright, but a lot of people lost interest in him after Recovery.

 

I just recently got into his music after I listened to Not Afraid when it first came out. His rap was pretty big in my childhood but I never got into it. I realize now why everyone liked it so much. He's got legit shit, fun to understand the lyrics too

Eminem is an awsome rapper, ive been listening to him since his first major hit. His has some songs that were ment to be funny and some real serious songs. Imo hes one of the best artists of our time

 

I like Eminem's old songs, don't really think much of his newer shit. My favorite song from him is 'Stan'.
