    My new pet

About a week ago I was on my way home, when I noticed a small desert
tortoise walking on the sidewalk. I got out of the car and picked him up
and tried to find his owner, I went to a couple nearby houses but no luck.
So I took him home and kept him for a few days to see if any signs would
turn up, once again no luck. So I decided to keep him, I named him Yoshi :p
I think its a male and about fifteen years old, but im not completely sure.

That's wierd, almost the same thing happened to me a week ago. I was going home from cashing my check and I saw a turtle in the middle of the road. It was a wooded area, so I wasn't surprised. I already have 2 turtles so I took him home :p. He's not as big as yours, I wish he was. I want a big turtle/tortoise. How do you distinguish between the two? Just different species or is it by size?
