JaGeX refuses to return my account for NO reason.

my main account for 10 years, maxed out, 9B bank. came back to RS to find it was hijacked?

Am I pissed? No not at all.

There is no reason to make a thread for this.

Sometimes they do not put a reason. Other times they do. You obviously don't have all the correct information or they would unlock it for you. Perhaps some of the info. was changed by the hijacker?

"The information you gave us was not detailed enough for us to confirm that you're the owner of this account"

Appeal again with more info.

Make sure you send the appeal from the IP address where you originally created the account, if you can. Also, make sure to include info such as the creation date, earlier/earliest passwords, address and/or membership payment info etc. Sometimes just providing passwords & recovery questions is NOT enough, especially if the hijacker has changed all that information. You can also try posting on the RS forums.

 

Try and try again. From what I've seen on Sythe. The appeal centre is like a hit or miss thing

 

Always use the IP that the account was made from, it improves your chance by about 90%

 

Yeah, that's not possible for 10 year old accounts...Most people would have switched internet providers or are on dynamic IP.

 

Way too many people here are making threads about not being able to recover their account, honestly.
There's nothing we can do about it, we can only say 'put in all the info you got'.

This just means you're very close, try to get additional info or try different creation dates / put your creation ISP etc.. . etc..

 

Just be sure to get the IP address, previous passwords and most important of all, the billing information right.

A jmod posted on the hlf that these are pretty much the only ones they even look at.

I got gf'd too. It's really bugging me also, because the account I'm trying to recover was made in '04 and only had one password, the original one, that I forgot. So really, jagex is just laughing in my face saying that I don't have enough passwords... Thats why I'm recovering it... *facepalm*

 

I am having almost the exact same situation as bbbrttrader. One or two passwords total, don't remember them. I have TONS of information on the account, like exact dates of when my passed offenses were. And yet they STILL ask for billing information from 2004.

I want to meet someone who has their billing information from 2004.

 

That seems like a good reason not to give you it back

This happens alot for me when i remove my recovs to sell an acc. Just keep repeating, try adding all the old passes into extra details box.

 

I have the same situation as the OP. My main of 6 years, I have 16 previous passwords, oldest recoveries, membership info and everything. Denied for no reason.

I think Jagex has fucked something up in their recovery automation.

 

let me shed some light on this so eveyr one can see it [This has happened to me multiple times also] It means basically that you have all correct information but since you are tying from a Diffrent Ip / Computer they think that you sold the acc to some random with all the details and he is trying to reocover it.... the only thing to increase ur chanc eof getitng the acc back is to email them at [email protected] / post on forums

 

I don't have the old membership information, and the previous password thing is kicking my ass because Its had two passwords, and I don't remember the first one.

I've managed to get a maxed zerker locked holding around 5b myself, so I've started trading from scratch again. It's harsh, but it's life. Just try to recall and put the information as detailed as you're able. Don't send rage appeals, it's never going to help.

I appealed a main from 04 once with exactly the same details entered, first time declined second time unlocked. :idea:

 

Lol its not like he'd have the same IP for 10 years? Even if he still lived at home with mom and dad.

I honestly find it quite weird that they expect us to know when we created our mains down to the day. OP for example said he created his 10 years ago? Not like the first thing you do when you start play a game is to write down date, ip and so on so that you can retrieve your account 10 years later?
