I do not beleive in the theory of God, in fact I find it the term "God" to be a scapegoat for what's happening around us. Or for some, it's a type of hope. It gives confidence to know that you can place your trust in someone/something and confide your secrets in that being, without knowing truly of it's existence. I do not know if there is a god, there might be, but there is absolutely no solid proof. And don't try and respond saying that the Bible, or the mahabharata, or even the Talmud are proofs of his existence (depending on which god you believe in).

 

Who said this was about the atheists side? You ask for proof for God and since he doesn't really reveal himself we're trying to prove that there is at least someone that created everything because life isn't just there. Also, if you can't prove how everything is just there and how life started then you can not say God is not real, or at least a creator.

Anywho, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but most of these opinions are those which were enforced upon he or she as they were growing up by their parents. Therefore most people don't think differently than what their parents teach them even if they don't know two shits about the religion. It's time for people to start thinking.

 

Probably didn't understand him but he's asking you why you believe atheism is the way, just like everyone is asking why we're Christians and want proof.

I was raised as a Catholic, and I am still influenced by many Christians, but yet I'm still Buddhist.

 

Evolution makes a fairly strong prediction that if a single fossil turned up in the wrong geological stratum, then the entire theory would be falsified. To date, this has not happened.

Well, I won't try to turn the question around on you. I'll answer honestly: I don't know.

- Nothingness begets nothingness. Correct.

- Energy is eternal. Correct.

- "Science has prove that the universe didn't always exist." False. Science has tentatively demonstrated that around 13-15 billion years ago, everything in the universe seemed to be expanding.

- "It's not unreasonable to assume that this enormous energy was God." Actually, it is unreasonable. A field of static energy is a far cry from the human concept of God.

- "The energy that created everything had to be intelligent, because we observe design throughout the universe." Not necessarily. There are certain natural processes that can promote order in a universe of disorder.

- "If you don't agree with this logic, you are stubborn." False. This logic is flawed.

 

I believe in God. No one can prove God is real, you just need faith. I don't believe in evolution because there are too many flaws in it.

 

There are two means of knowing truths about the world - reason and experience. Faith is neither of those. Things in reality either exist, or they don't. Faith will not help you determine whether or not they do.

What flaws are there?

 

First off i believe species can adapt but can not change entirely.

1) How did birds become birds? A creature has wings or it does not. A half developed bird is not going to have an advantage over a land creature. And if there is no advantage, the land version would not die off, preventing the one's with a mutation from only mating with them selves(which causes evolution).

2) If evolution is real and natural, why do we have laws protecting people?

3) Nothingness doesn't make matter or bacteria which would have started life. Something would have had to start the initial creation.

 

Why would there be not? So you don't want laws to protect you?

 

Actually, half a wing is better than no wing at all. Certainly, it will not enable you to fly, but it will save your life if you fall from a tree, or allow you to make a sort of gliding jump from one tree to the next in order to pursue your prey all the better.

I don't see what our legal system has to do with a scientific question such as evolution.

Evolution is different from the origin of life.

However, the origin of life isn't really that great of a mystery. Let us make the conservative estimate that there are 10 billion billion planets in the universe that we can see. If the odds of life arising on any one planet were one in 10 billion, then life would still have arisen on a billion planets - of which the Earth is one.

 

I'm just saying if you believe and follow evolution, we should still be trying to evolve and everyone who is weak or not suited for the current times needs to die off.

 

Evolution takes a long time to occur.

How would we know whether someone is not suited for this life? Wealth? There have been cases of people who went from rags to riches.

 

But a half wing would occur after thousands of years, at first it would be just a very small mutation. The mutation would not be able to adapt because the species would still be mating with the non-deformed species.

 

Not necessarily. I acknowledge that evolution happened in the past, yet I am not required to attempt to implement it in modern society.

I believe in gravity, yet I am content to fly.

It doesn't need to be a literal half-wing. It could be a bit of skin between limbs, as you can see in some squirrels and lizards. Or, in the case of birds, it could be that dinosaurs had feathers long before they were able to fly, and those that took to the trees discovered that their arm feathers really made life easier.

 

I know it's not a literal half-wing, but mutations are rare when one does occur, it normally gets washed out with the mating with the non-mutated one. An extra bit of skin between the limbs would be good and handy, but if it is not necessary, it will be washed out by mating with the non-mutated ones. And if it is necessary to fly, the species would be out of luck, and become extinct.
