I've never heard of the 10 commandments. Someone tell me about it?

 

I am the Lord your God
You shall have no other gods before me
You shall not make for yourself an idol
You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God
Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy
Honor your father and mother
You shall not murder
You shall not commit adultery
You shall not steal
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
You shall not covet your neighbor's house
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife

- I know there are more than 10 here, but the first 3 are the first commandment, at least for Roman Catholic.

The ten commandments are ten laws that all christians/catholics
shoud live by. The Were presented by Moses and it is said that god gave
them to him. The laws themselves tell us how to be perfect people.

Some of them are dont steal, honor your mom and dad, no false gods, etc.

On the contrary, it's considered common sense to assume that God is entirely imaginary by the majority of the worlds highly intellectual elites. Evolution has been proven time upon time, it's a theory like gravity, only supported by thousands of fossils AND it has been empirically observed with biological vira. The universe doesn't look too inspired either - a vast infinite space of nothingness with billions upon billions of rocks floating around aimlessly for all eternity. Why did God create those rocks just to float around like that? Seems like an awful waste of talent, considering his supposed omnipotence and all.

I mean, there's so much redundant shit in the world that just doesn't make sense for an omniscient god to create. Why does males have nipples? Because the nipples evolves inside the womb before the gender, and why would God make something this redundant? Because we are a result of evolution, and evolution isn't perfect.

Why do humans have tailbones (medical term coccyx)? Because we once had a tail, millions of years ago. The reason we still have it is because it aids us during defecation, and it supports the construction of the skeleton's strength, so natural selection havn't devolved it.

Creationists should change the name of their ideology to Not-So Intelligent Design.

 

How could evolution be real? You really think we evolved from apes? I don't think you know the meaning of evolution. It means Evolving (getting better). If we evolved from apes, why aren't we strong as an ape. If an ape versed a human in a fight, the human wouldn't even last 3 seconds. Apes can move alot quicker then human's. If we evolved from apes we should be faster then them and stronger. true?

Only our intelligence is better then an ape. Apes had fur, why do humans have to wear clothes if we evolved from apes? we should have MORE fur then an ape so we can keep warmer and don't get sick. Apes have a better immune system then humans. Their body can take alot more then a human can. If a human eats something wrong, he has to go to hospital for a week.

Good questions, however you've obviously misinterpreted evolution. I strongly suggest you investigate evolution from non-theist sites, as theists has a tendency to twist things to fit their own personal beliefs. I shall now obliterate your questions with facts and logical rationalizations.

We did NOT evolve from apes (I know I've said we evolved from apes before, but clearly I too can misinterprete the scientific beliefs I hold so dear) - humans and apes share a common ancestor, which makes our genes look somewhat identical. With our vast superior intellectuality, we have no need for claws, sharp teeth, agile bodies or extreme muscle-power. Therefore, the process of natural selection eliminated those skills, as they became useless to us.

Think of it as a railroad track going from south to north, at north it splits up and goes in numerous new directions: each direction represents a type of ape, one evolving into gorillas, one evolving into humans, one evolving into monkeys, etc, etc, etc. Each evolutionary specie adapts to their environments, their primary source of food, skills to avoid/strike back at enemies, climatical changes, etc. Basically, humans ARE apes.

About the loss of fur, it still questions even the lead evolutionists. One theory holds that the hominid line went through a semi-aquatic phase -- witness the slight webbing on our hands. A better suggestion is that loss of body hair helped our distant ancestors keep cool when they first ventured beyond the forest's shade and across the hot African savannah. (Our primate ancestor evolved into humans in Africa, and yes this DOES mean that black people was the first race on Earth) But loss of hair is not an unmixed blessing in regulating body temperature because the naked skin absorbs more energy in the heat of the day and loses more in the cold of the night. Basically, evolutionists are still working on this case, and all they have for now is hypothetises. I'll research this later and may be able to provide you with a better answer.

God never made the 10 commandments anyway... Moses or someone went up to the top of a hill and god told him that he has one rule, to only worship one god which was him. And so Moses (or whoever it was) went back down to his friends, found they were worshipping another god. He had to walk back up the hill, talk to god again about how sorry he was, and as his punishment god gave him 10 commandments to follow. So technically god never made them, some guy walked up a hill alone with a rock and wrote them down, for all we know he might have just made them all up. Thats what i learnt in some religion class in grade 7 anyway, thats just the short version lol.

 

There is a god. Stop trying to be a hero and saying that "there is no god" this is just a test to see who deserves heaven and who deserves hell. Get real guys, if there is no spiritual life source or god as people say, who made the first living thing, and if u say atoms, then where did the atoms come from? some1 explain, and plz dont be a smart alic about this..

also, evolution isn't about getting stronger, its about adapting to the environment. We arent built with huge muscles because we dont need them, we dont hunt for food, we go to supermarkets. its not necessary for our survival.

Think of evolution as adapting, your body is getting used to the environment. think of penguins, they are birds, they used to fly. tho there environment change, they needed to swim to get there food, over the thousands of years there bodies adapted to there life style and made there wings more like fins.

This is also why there are different races of people, people living in different environments where they body has changed to suit its environment. people evolving in different ways/speeds. The fact that there are races is a clear sign of evolution, otherwise why wouldnt we all be the same?

for evolution to not be true, then god must be still creating as things are always changing, and if you dont want to call it evolution, then you must think that its god making the change. its been proven that humans are alot taller then we where thousands of years ago. that is a change, a simple concept of change, did god change his blue print on humans?

where did god come from? where was god before he created the universe? why did it take god a week to make the universe when he should be able to do it in an instant? why didnt god give us food, instead of making us eat each other? if god forgave us for our sin, then why are we still paying for them? why doesnt god help amputies yet he cures people? why does he cure some and not others? does that mean god loves them more? if god did love us all, why dont we all go to heavan? why are we treated like lab rats? all you ever say is that we are being tested, Why do we need testing when god created us, if anyone was evil it would be because god made us that way, why does god need to send down angels to check on people if he should be able to see for himself? if god plans everything, then why would he need to test us when he already would know the outcome? shouldnt an all powerful being be able to see the future? if he could, then why does he need to test us before going to heavan? he should allready know. Why hasnt god spoken to modern man? i could do this all day.

because you dont know the answer doesnt mean god did it. people used to say god was the one behind tides, tho we know its because of the gravitational pull. its when we do find these answers you think, oh ok, we where wrong on that one, but he still did this,this, and this because we have no idea whats the cause. since 2k years ago, we are finding out that alot of things that was thought to be god actually wasnt, that as time goes by that god has done less and less. can you see where its going?

 

the bible is not the full concept of life, but with the quran it has all the answers. Its god, it wuldnt take him a split second, he wuld just go bam and its there, why the hell wuld it take a week. If we evolved from monkeys (this so called evoulotion shit) then how come the human today, isnt as strong as the monkey, or faster or why arnt we as dumb as the ape?
