I Really like this post. and i watch the toll often see what people vote im glad Most people belive in God.

 

Can the universe function without some sort of energy?

 

Who implied that it does?

 

You're glad the majority of voters have been brainwashed in some way, shape, or form, and follow ideas that are totally not of their own.

If i said to people in my school i'm agnostic, they'd probably think i was a freemason member. so i keep it simple and just say i'm a athiest. not that i seem to be bothered about following a religion of the sort. or a belief.

 

i think there isn't a god because, if he created all of the planets, all of the universe.. who created him? i bet you you religous people can't answer me that?

Just throwing this out there.....Non-believers are the 3rd largest "religious" group in the world.

Well, First, I would need you to prove me that God does exist. There is something called the burden of proof.

Please use spell check before you post, it's very hard to decipher what you're trying to say.

 

i am sorry if i do not spell every word right. but why is it that the person who believes in god has to give proof but the person who does not believe in god doesnt?also i have not yet stated which i believe in this thread. i have simply ask for you to explain why YOU do not believe in god

^ you posted what you posted asking me for evidence. because you most likley assumed i was on the position of believing their is a god and that i would have no evidence. and that would be putting me on side A and you on side B would it not?so if you would be side B you are trying to use a lack of evidence on my part to justify your own side which has no evidence. i read the article

 

One cannot disprove a negative. To provide evidence of an entity not existing is simply a fallacy, because if that entity does not exist, it provides no proof of itself to falsify (redundant statement, but nonetheless true). On the other hand, if someone asserts that an entity DOES exist, rationally one believes that such an entity DOES provide proof of itself, ergo the burden of proof is upon the asserter of a positive claim.

That is why a nonbeliever doesn't need to provide evidence, and also an explanation of why he/she can't even if they wanted to.

 

so why believe their is not a god when you cant prove their is not one?

and what factor is it that you personaly use as a reason to not believe in a god?

 

My reason for not believing in God is that there is no evidence to support that one exists. I admit that one MIGHT exist, however circumstances given, I'm a lot happier believing that one doesn't.

Why do you believe in God if there is no evidence to suggest one? 10 to 1 it's either because you've never questioned what you've grown up with, or you fear what happens after death (I quite comfortably believe that nothing happens).

 

i for one believe that god does exist.1 reasonis i believe that he created the universe because without him how could it come to be?
