I'm a logical thinker, but I'm also a Christian man.
I've had my doubts of God in the past, and in discussions I've been in, like
"We have scientific prove in how the earth was created", and "Seriously? You really think a man can rise from the dead?"

Thing is, if the universe just existed, what set off the "Big Bang"? Something must have.
Yes, I do believe there is a God.
What would happen to you when you die? You can't just say that's the end? Cause if it were, what's the whole point?
Plus, Jesus' teachings, although he only preached for 3 years, spread across the entire world. How could a fake story be that talked about, and it STILL influences the world today, when the man walked the earth around 3 B.C.E-33C.E?
And there are historical records, found in Rome about the crucifiction of a man named Jesus, who claimed to be the Son of God.
Although there are no records of what Jesus had done(miracles).. how could he have such an impact on us still today.

Also, the ones who wrote the Gospels(Matthew,Mark,Luke, and John) were risking their lives to write stories about this man.
Why would they do that for a fake story?

Why is a point necessary? I realize this fills a gap in people's life, but hiding behind a lie hardly helps you in the long run.

During that time, Messiahs were crawling out of the woodwork. There were a lot of people going around, allegedly performing miracles, and having massive followings. It is possible the story of Jesus is not about a single man, but several folklore stories strung together.

Probably because people in biblical times were extremely impressionable. Believe it or not, but "Life of Brian" actually gives a pretty accurate picture in that regard.

There HAS been people claiming to be the "Messiah", but none had that much on an influence/effect on people.

People have told me that life, is the time in which we live, until we ascend to Heaven.
You may believe in something else ie) Reincarnation. If this is true, then you should definately make the life you have worth while, and be kind to others, if you're going to be reincarnated.. You want to be rewarded, so that you don't like your life as a fly as an example.
Jesus' message really just focused on people loving people.
Because, after death, in Heaven, that's what it's going to be like, everyone caring and loving each other.

If God does not exist, and you believe the whole scientific theory of the Big Bang, what set off the Big Bang? Something must have triggered it.
Hence, God.
He's not a person, but a spiritual being.

There is no life after death, it wouldn't be death if there was. I don't need a carrot/whip system hanging over me to make my life worth while. To me, the meaning of life is to give life meaning.

I don't believe in the Big Bang. I don't rule it out, but I'm not convinced it happened. One of the reasons is the one you mention. I'm content with not knowing how the universe started, I'm not going to jump on a religion just to think I found an answer.

Why? Is religion somehow necessary in order to lead a good life?

There is no evidence to support any of it. Most of the time if someone tries to provide said evidence, they answer it with a question. (i.e - if there isn't a god then ____?")

Personally, I don't think he exists exactly because everyone says god made humans. It seems unrealistic. What? Did he zap people to life? I think not. I think that it was all organisms that formed us, starting from monkeys. Also, I dont think jesus resurected. He died then came back alife? bull shit. But anythings possible

No, I do have a slight belief that there could be something out there, but until it gets proven I have a hard time believing it.
