    The Existence of God

Theres more proof that evolution has happend then God exisiting. Just
    Basic
    "Instructions"
    "Before"
    "Leaving"
    Earth.

I'm being too question my religion "Christianity" myself. Although I don't think I can't even call my self Chrisitian anymore considiring i'm a saying "no-no" that is in the B.I.B.L.E

If the Bible is the "Basic instructions",Where are the "Difficult instructions".
I'm really sick of people saying "I feel him emotionally, and the aura And I've seen him... IN DREAMS." Yes I've heard pastors say that I find it. I remember When I when't too A private school,The school's pastor told us the Most ridiciously stories, and Showed us the DUMBEST "Documentaries" I've ever seen I clearly remember this one Pin-point

It was a Documentary on "Rock-roll" saying that All these Metals/Rock groups had Secrect,Scary,Satanic messages in them. It was BS. I literally need too find them just for this thread.

    The Existence of God

    God....

    *sigh*
    Such a broad subject.

One man who created all of the universe and everything?
    One man who created us?
Somebody who sends people to Hell for not believing in him?

The fact that almost (if not more) 90% of the worlds population believes in him is almost outrageous.

No body, even someone such as "God" could possibly have created everything.

Now, I would like to ask YOU a question in return.
    Where did God come from?

Are you saying that he was just there, and one day decided to create everything? He was like "Oh my gosh, I think I may just create something called a universe and then maybe something I may call "humans"???

And what about this. If he cares so much about us, why is there war? If you really DO believe in God, you cannot blame Humans for the war and starvation. If 'He" really DID care about us, he would help us.

And what about the fact that he flooded the Earth?

    And what about Gay marriage?
Your God forbids that in the Bible.

Didn't God also say something about treating other people properly?

    What a hypocrite...

This topic should be locked, as it could very possibly turn into something a bit more than intelligent conversation.

there is a god, how can there not be, wtf happens when we die, honestly just think about it a little bit. This world didn't "coiensidently" just come about, there is an explanation beyond this, not this fake science bullshit, it just doesn't match.

Great argument. You voice your opinion without anything to back it up other than "science is fake bullshit" and "wtf happens when we die". What do you think happens, if anything whatsoever, and what makes you think that? And give some real examples as to why science is fake bullshit.

If that was to hard to understand, here's an appropriate response to your argument:

There is no god, how can there be? Wtf needs to happen when we die, honestly just think about it a little bit. This world wasn't made with a "purpose", there is an explanation behind this, not this fake religious bullshit, it just doesn't match.

    Amen

I agree with you. If he can PROVE that science is "fake bullshit' then, after that, he can prove that something happens when we die, then I'll stop arguing, until then, fuck that :D

God is believed to be eternal, thus he/she/it was never created nor came from anywhere, God simply is. Much like physical existence itself simply is.

Appeal to Ridicule is a fallacious strategy. See, this is as bad an argument as the inane scheisse "Yeah I O W N" posted.

War is started by humans, not God. If I'm wrong, maltheism must be right. If I'm right, your argument still fails because you presume God is benevolent.

To weed out sinners. Apparently, before God decided to flush his "antfarm project" down the drain, all human beings were ravaging each other and had only evil thoughts. Not like humans in general are any better now, but hey, why not.

After this event, according to the Bible, God realized he was wrong and decided never to do it again. How can the perfect god be wrong?

I'm not sure where you get your sources, but according to the Bible God never showed any signs of remorse killing off just about every single specie on this planet.

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth...And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them” (Genesis 6:5-7).

If you're a quick thinker now, you turn the argument to before the Great Flood. God had deep regrets that He created man, which legitimates the question of how a perfect, omniscient entity could not foresee this issue. That way you can still trap me in a contradiction!

Yes, it seems that wasn't entirely accurate. You got me. God does say that he will never flood the Earth again though, it was my personal interpretation that this is because he saw the error of his actions when killing everyone.

I appreciate the correction, as I hate to be wrong about this sort of thing.

You didn't answer my question though.

I do not really believe in god. There are times though that believing in A god can help you though. Be it a real god, or a god you created to help you thorugh a hard time.

The "God" we have today has been twisted and bent to the will of the Church. They are a corrupt bunch, who have been controlling the masses for years. And until people see the things that the Church has done, it will be for many years to come. The Church uses "God' to strike fear into its followers and if you don't do what the Church wants, they will evoke the wrath of god upon you.

what the fuck, how cannot be a purpose on earth, this argument is so fucking stupid. Its what you do or do not believe, and people have no right to think they know what happens after life, how is there nothing going to happen. There is a god, the closest possible evidence is Islam, have a read of that.

    The Existence of God

God is real in out heads, I chose yes. I'm not specifically saying there is a giant source of intelligence out in space that created everything. There might be, might not be.

First off, this is one of those things that never should be questioned. This idea of God, Allah, Buddha, Zeus and any other god is and has always been a part of human nature. Science can prove all it wants, but when you're buried in the ground science won't give a shit about you anymore.

We create god in our heads, he probably looks different to each of us, and maybe has a different personality for each of us too. We make god a figure that we would like to be, a figure we want everyone else to be. A super role model.

Some people will love this god, they will talk to him, worship him, and anything else. Others will just ignore him, deny him or any other thing

somewhere along the line people took it a step further. Religion. Religion is where you can start your little fusses, I'll stay out of it.

    The Existence of God

Science does a good job at explaining how things work, but it does not explain why things work. Ok so complex life happened through some primordial soup, but why, why did some atoms decide to get together and create more complex machines. Why does a thing like an atom exist? There has to be some sort of essence that drives these things to happen.

Why not? Why shouldn't complex life happen through some primordial soup for no reason? I don't see why there has to be some conscious force behind everything that happens.

Well tbh science isn't very logical either. Like how the earth was created? An explosion that happen to creat life, that just kept evolving? Most christians are not brain washed, they choose to have faith. But i'm sure there are some brain washed ones.
