The Existence of God

Honestly religions is a good thing from my view, because most of them create higher morals. But others just overdue it and say they have to spread the word of god. Its annoying. They don't even investigate their own religions history. Read a few bibles from different religions and youll see theyre all about the same with different interpretation and some omit stuff from the original texts to have a good foundation for those who believe since in some parts its self-contradictory . Religion is purely based on beliefs. Nothing factual.

My friend once said God is like the Boogey Man. Hes just a story to scare you into doing things.

Offensive to those who believe, but to those that have sense, think about it. Its a relatively good comparison. And humorous.

He will send you to hell for all eternity, to suffer incredible pain to pay for your "sins" and never allow you to enter the paradise. But he loves you. Nice God there..

Before reading bible please read facts about the origins of religions. If you start of with reading beliefs you'll know nothing.

All Ive seen so far for those who believe in such a presence is:

-Questions that even contradict God
-Purely emotional responses nothing concrete
-Prayers for us since we don't believe the lie
-Insults
-Saying science is fake or retarded (this made me laugh)
-Lack of logic and reason
-Your all basing your arguments of beliefs nothing that make sense through a solid foundation with reason. It seems like you have your own reality...

I have a question for you... Did you figure this out yourself or were you told by someone else such as your parents? If you were told by someone else and you instantly believed them, you are very gullible and shouldn't even be here stating your opinion.

 

I took a class on it. Obviously there are a ton of different views on heaven/hell. In the languages the Bible was written in, their words are different and have different meanings our language.

 

I'm guessing that class was loaded with inherent bias.

And you don't wonder why? It's because no one really knows. As far as I'm concerned most Christians believe in some version of Dante's Inferno, which in all honesty... is complete fiction.

Proof doesn't have to be pictures, or videos. Proof is justified and stated that it shows something that is indefinite.

Hasn't Jesus Christ, and God, have had a bigger impact on us? Think about it, Jesus told us to be kind, respectful, and to love. Hasn't that had a impact on a lot of people? There are approximately 6 billion people on this earth, if Jesus were to never be thought about, and never to be acknowledged, this world would not be what it is.

There would be more crime, more murders, more fighting, more violence. But, Jesus, and God have had a impact on how to act civil on this planet.

Doesn't that make them... Real? God changed the earth by just the thought of him.

There is still an outrageous amount of crime, poverty, and terrible things. Children pray to God every day that they won't die of starvation, and they still do. The thought of him isn't doing anything, hasn't done anything, and really doesn't prove he exists.

People shouldn't pray to god expecting that he will absolutely give them something. Do you think god gives you food? Or gives you the opportunity to get food. Does god give you a job? Or the opportunity to get that job.

When a person dies, that was gods plan for that person. Each living creature on this planet has a specific role. Weather it is to save another person's life, or if it's to create a new era.

So, what I am saying, is, that when someone is born, they have a specific role to fulfill and to do what it is to do.

Such as those starving children, they had a role, and they achieved it.

Is that not a quote from the bible? and to be quite frank, life is not comparable to food. Life is not something to fuck with, and if God was so fantastic and amazing and was anything like the bible portrays him, he would spare lives of innocent, suffering children in Africa from starving to death, or others from being abused and beaten to death.

 

An idea, no matter how substantial or compelling, still does not equal a real thing. That's like saying the things in your dreams actually happened because they had a substantial effect on your life. God is part of people's minds, and people's mindsets can indeed change their course of action but that does not mean that there is a diety that created us and the universe.

I'll also say this so I won't have to say it later: X is comforting doesn't imply X is true. Because the idea of a God existing may be comforting to some, it doesn't mean a God or gods exist.
