Well, if God doesn't exist, you will still probably live out a relatively normal life that you can enjoy. The absense of an afterlife doesn't mean that all life is worthless.

Yes, it is. Rather than being selected to live, I was lucky enough to be the 1/1million to make it into development and to come into this world without any birth complications. I'm the only one of me to live, and I'll treat myself, and all others, as one-of-a-kind.

For some reason that's what I want to believe. It doesn't necessarily mean that I have proof that it's true, I just side with that option over everything else. The concept of a never ending cycle from birth to death just seems so much more realistic than living in a fairytale land with a mythical father that oversees all our actions. The idea of that just seems so far fetched. For the record, I consider myself atheist-ish.

    How do you know that?

You are using the argument from ignorance.

I did, and I found no proof.

    The Existence of God

God is merely an idea to give people hope and/or meaning to live. I do not believe god is real. Religion was created thousands of years ago to keep people in order. Hey don't sin because god is watching and you will spent eternity in hell! Also people had no clue how they were all here. Now that we have advance science we know that the earth was created through the big bang and humans evolved over time. Back then they had no clue so they were like "Meh musta been god."

I'm sorry Shredder, but you're very wrong here. Hindu's do believe in a god, they actually believe in more than 1 god (polytheism). They call their gods avatar(a)s

But I guess you just made a mistake and already knew this. (Or did you mean by "a god" just 1 god?)

Religious hypocrisy is terrible! Makes me sick. And there is so much corruption / manipulation.

If you are religious you are probably defending it out of 95% fear. You wouldn't want God to smite you all of a sudden. I felt that way, yeah, I was pretty brain washed. It's hard to finally realize that religion is bullshit.

Hmm the question is if "god does exsist" is who created him? How did he become to be? Who created the guy that made god?

    The Existence of God

If God was created there would have to be a first creator at one point because there can't be infinite creators, so that means there had to be a creator that was eternal.

You know what makes me cringe more than stupid arguments from theists? Stupid arguments from atheists. God is believed to be eternal, thus he/she/it was never created, God simply is.

    The Existence of God

im athiest. i think the concept of god is hilarious.

i mean there's over one-hundred different religions, and if your religous. you'll be worshipping one of them. now. if they're was any proof that a religion was correct. they're would only be one religion. but the fact is there isn't. so
    there's over a hundred religions.

so if you are religous, the chance that your worshipping the right religion is extremley insignificant( 1 in a 100 ). and let alone the right god.

    religions are a rip.

for a religous person, there's around a EXTREMLEY high chance your worshipping the wrong religion even if it is true. Over 99%

    It's just a rofl concept.

though i havn't taken into count the number's of people in different religions. you should have the "jist" of what im saying.

Now, role a even dice 18 times, if you get 6 for all of them.

thats the type of chance we're talking about.

plus, all religous books are written by humans, including the quran, and the bible.

Then an uncreated creator is possible. How do you know that it was God?

Don't forget possible religions that haven't been established yet. :D
