The bible wasn't written by random people. The bible was comprised of exerts and memories passed down through generation to generation. However some parts may not be as they should have been, it is pretty accurate for he who believes in his religion.

No shunning unless you have your information straight.

No one ever claims the Bible was worded by Jesus, legend has it, god spoke to him, although, I completely doubt that god did.. maybe an angle, idk, if god can speak to Jesus.. he can speak to us too.

What I said was reasonable. Your testimony is subject to being incorrect, yet Wikipedia's testimony is generally a good bit more reliable.

Wikipedia is editable by anybody. I would attribute such a thing to a prank by somebody, and perhaps research it myself.

They say that the bible was writen from the words of god. Also in the bible it says that god incarnated himself into a human as jesus. so jesus is actually god.
and when you use supernatural things like angels to explain things then that is a clear sign of delusion.

You've pretty much implied that "random" people wrote in the bible. "The roman catholics, tons of people." Well, in a technical way, that means "random" people.

Stupid to who? There are billions who have chosen that "possible" faith. I'm assuming that in your opinion, they're stupid as well? However, if someone came and said that they believed in Allah(Which as well, has no empirical proof), you would easily welcome them into your side of the debate and refer to them as "He Who Is Smart".

It is not stupid. Believing in a possible faith is called "Hope", and "Determinism".

Okay. If in this thread, you've said that God wasn't real, and implied a "possible" faith, but not confirmed, which would make someone stupid, listen.

If you're also in this thread and believe that outerspace beings are real, well, you've basically just gone hand and foot with yourself. You can believe that an alien is real with no proof, but not a God?

For those who believe that Lucifer's reign will continue and follow him, well, is there any proof of him? He is a God of the Underworld, right? Your points are faulty, and your information is askew.

You believe in it with absolutely no reason of your own. Try thinking for yourself, not just have people tell you what to think. My parents didnt push me onto any religion, nor did they want me not to be religious, they gave me a choice. I chose to be rational, i dont believe in magical flying spaghetti monsters so why should i believe in god?

 

And it gets you where? also, theres a difference between being open minded, thinkin it may be possibility, to taking it as fact.

You do realise that the possibility that we are the only living species within billions of galaxies, which are filled with billions of planets? that is absurd.
we cannot prove yet that there are "aliens", tho we cannot prove gravity, tho we know its there.
You obviously have no idea how big the universe is and how many different galaxies/solar systems/planets there is. our solar system is very insignificant compared to the rest of the universe.

EDIT: there is a huge difference between believing in other life forms and believing in supernatural

From a scientific standpoint, yes believing in a God would be stupid, But if you had logic and reason backing your belief in a God instead of blind faith, then people would take you more seriously, like Chris Langan and his CTMU Theory.

But if you are just a normal person and need faith in a higher being to get you through life, then go ahead, I don't care, just don't come knocking door to door selling your religion to people.

 

I do believe in a God, but I am slight skeptical about it though. I don't know how to explain it.
