today i destoryed my dreams and passion ( cross country running ) in one day.

this race was the most important to me. i was a total disappointment.

there's alot more to it, but i just start crying like a wimp whenever i think of it. it's so painful.

 

How did you destroy your dreams? and did you lose passion for the sport? because of this race?

I run cross country too, one race can't break your career. You had one bad race, who the fuck cares? I've had plenty of bad races in my four years of XC. Move on and keep training, your day to shine will come.

I totally feel you, it's frustrating, but this shows how much dedication you put forth in your endeavors, take this as motivation and your driving force to train hard and perform better in future meets. When I ran track in high school this is exactly how I handled things as well, but you need to learn how to funnel your frustration into motivation.

 

Dude same thing happened to me last year for track. I trained so hard last season and I unfortunately fainted at the starting line and dislocated and fractured my elbow. I was out for the entire season and it was only the first race. My elbow is still fractured from this accident.

 

Man, believe me when I say, you have a lot more to lose.
It may seem crushing at first, but life is way to short.

You can and will pull through. Nothing is as bad as it may seem. There's always a solution. Chin up.

 

I also had a bad experience with XC, but overcoming it only helped me grow stronger. My junior year I was a top runner in the state, and my Senior year I was not. I was so disappointed because I let everyone down my first few races, but by the end of my senior year it helped me and I was back on top, with better times than my junior year.

 

Listen mate, if you really tryed your best in the race which i know you did it's ok. But yeh i used to be a good cross country runner then it all fell apart when i played rs >.>

once again , thank you. i feel i've become stronger and i will work towards my next race.
the reason why i was very disappointed was because i failed to give my best and showed a lack of guts. i was devasted inititally thats why i posted this, but right now, there is still the track season and though im not a strong 800M runner, im going in there and gonna give it my best. nothing less.

thank you for your concerns. sigh, though i feel i've gotten over it already, it still seems so unreal the nationals is over already X.X
