The choice is to buy a crossover or SUV

Hello, I'm thinking of buying a Japanese. There is a choice between Suzuki Jimny & Vitara. I'm more inclined to buy an SUV, since I will go hunting, but my wife wants a crossover, they say, more is suitable for the family.

What do you like more?

 

crossover looks better. SUV looks like a pile of shite.

I can see that in 1988 before everybody had the internet at their fingertips, but it's 30 years later. Are these "most people" in their 80's or something?

 

Are you 12? Have you not heard of car buying forums? Look around fella.

 

Sorry, I just have this weird feeling that doing actual research is better than listening to a handful of random people on the internet.

 

Actual research can be composed of word - of mouth suggestions too. When you go to the movies do you actually care about what a critic rates a movie? Or will you ask other people what they thought of it?

 

I care what the experience of hundreds, or thousands, of people is. Asking a few buddies makes a shite sample, asking 5,000 people makes a decent one.

Hence, do REAL research before buying a car, don't make a post on a forum.

All I've ever suggested to the OP is to do REAL research. I think that's an okay suggestion.

I didn't post a comment, I posted a question. Questions can imply, my question very clearly implied that there are better ways to get information about vehicles. All of this was clear from my first post.

Hey OP, do research, don't base your opinion on forum posts.

 

I’d suggest you take all advice into consideration. Forums are also a good place to find personalized information from people who have previously , or currently owned a vehical you’re looking at.

 

Of course! If you're looking for personal, specific, advice about a specific issue that you have, that is.

If you're looking to find out the consensus, though, then they're absolutely not the right place!
