Sythe.org Contests Thread

The [PRIZES]Sythe.org Contests[PRIZES] thread is dead. Can it be un-stickied and archived now? Maybe turn it into a fun contest thread with no prizes? Not sure if this was 'official' or anything, but I thought it'd be appropriate to create a thread so people can discuss.

How about we discuss an idea of what we can do, RuneScape related, for a contest?

 

Why make it specific to one part of the memberbase? If you're going to make a competition, I recommend making it applicable to all members.

 

Well my recommendation would be something that is fun to do and applies to more people than just Runescape players, as Finn stated. They could be based on real life events to make it a little bit more organized since having one every week is very hard to do and a bit too much. Since this is a discussion board, the contests could be held right here on the forums rather than inside a game or just writing boring old essays.

Some ideas:
- Easter Egg Hunt (for Easter of course) where an 'egg' is hidden in a post somewhere on the forums. First person to find it and place a link to it on the thread wins. There could be three different eggs, each harder than the other to find.
- Maybe for Halloween a new section could be temporarily added where every person can create a thread as their 'house'. They could decorate it with ASCII designs and such, and the best 'house' design wins. People could also go around trick 'or treating on the threads, lol.

If it absolutely has to be Runescape related, then here's some other ideas:
- Scavenger hunt on Runescape. First person to find all the objects and take screenshots of them first, or maybe the person who interacts with all the people (there could be volunteers waiting at a location dressed up as something) first wins.
- Level 3 run. People create accounts on tutorial island at the same time and whoever gets to, let's say Falador first wins.
- Training challenge. Everyone registers their level 3 accounts and there's a set goal; whoever reaches it first wins.

You get the point; just anything that would actually be a good experience so people would want to participate.
