Programming forum? Then shouldn't it be web development instead of web design?

And Curt:

Design covers everything from layouts, programming, and the like.

Development just covers making em, and thinking em up.


Design = Blue Prints

Development = Creation?

I'm pretty sure at least.

 

I wouldn't say design would cover programming and the likes, but would be mainly based on the layout, styles and graphics.

Web development covers from initial design, to coding and back end, to the finished product. Programming is more of like coding than design.

 

Well, we have more designers than we do programmers, and offering an area for them to show off css and such would be nice.

But if we can have both, that'd be better i guess.

 

At most, Web Design should be based off of web development. And we do have good web developers on this forum such as cp, jazz, etc.

 

And in my personal experience in Sythe, the only real web designer I know here is Mat, while I know many others who are web developers and webmasters

 

There's several people who have the POTENTIAL tho ... and it's about drawing in fresh blood. Having both might bring others out of the wood work.

 

I still say that web design should only be a subcategory of web development. Should not have other languages as a subcategory of webdesign.

I don't understand what you mean by release, so I'll say stick with what I had up there for the requests and such.

What good is there in expanding the programming section if it's currently unmoderated?

 

I don't think they plan on keeping it that way?


But if they are, then don't? Lol.


This however, would be great to include WITH new programming moderators. That way the new ones can alter it, keep it active, start sticky trends, etc. And they can learn with the new sections what it demands.

 

If you're going to have a 'Microsoft Visual Studio Languages' forum, change 'Java / C#' to 'Java', since C# is a .NET language.

Otherwise, I support this suggestion IF and only if the section is moderated properly.

 

And if it is used actively. Remember what I said on the IRC.
