Software for Cutting Music

I hope this is the right place for this

I had an idea to cut out my favorite parts of a few songs and make it into one, and I just wanted to ask Sythe where I can find software that I will be able to do this. I have no experience with music other than listening to it, so I hope it will be easy

I tried WMM but don't think that it's even possible to do anything with an audio file using this software. Any other recommendations?

 

I don't know too much about this but you can look into Frooty Loops. A lot of people that make Dubstep and other music use it for mixing. Try it out.

 

I've also tried this but I think FL is more for creating your own beats rather than editing a song.

EDIT: Just downloaded Audacity. Looks like this is what I am looking for. Going to try this after work and let you guys know how it goes.

 

I use GoldWave for simple song cropping. It's not free, however the trial lasts for a very long time with just occasional simple editing.
