The ambiguous future of Sythe

You dont think as much $ as Jagex makes that they are just going to sit there and let it die do you?

 

Does that mean Sythe.org should be content with what it's got and not continually strive to better itself? If you are content you are already dead.

RS still has plenty of players; reports of the site's imminent death are greatly exaggerated (as people have written above, there have been tons of these threads).

Sythe structurally is a great blackmarket website/trading platform (as I'm sure a lot of us can attest). As great as the concept of increasing userbase for non-RS markets sounds, gaining significant market share for other games with enough users to matter is nontrivial (and certainly won't be solved by throwing money at AdWords...).

Ensuring strong medium-term growth is a difficult problem, but the website as is doesn't seem to be in a do-or-die situation even with its seeming dependence on RuneScape (see Richard's graph of increasing site hits).

 

People will always play RS and people will always use this site to buy or sell their virtual goods. People used it before there was half of the updates there are now, people will continue to use it regardless.
